We used this hotel while travelling through Austria to split a longer journey and chose it because it was relatively close to the freeway. As such, the location is not close to the town center, but pretty remote in a residential area at the town margin, nice and quiet. The room was nice and clean, and we slept well. Breakfast is served early and the choice and quality of foods is very good.
We were very surprised to find such a fine restaurant attached to the hotel, with very knowledgeable and friendly staff and excellent gourmet meals, as well as more traditional choices. The foods and drinks were truly remarkable, and the waiter was very skilled and amiable. The restaurant inside is traditionally pleasant, and there is also a large terrace outside, nicely shaded in summer.
Definitely worth visiting just for the restaurant alone, even if you don't intend to stay overnight.
A renovated castle dating from the 17th century, Schloss Thalheim is surrounded by a large garden and features a restaurant with a terrace. St. Pölten is a 20-minute drive away.

We loved everything. Quiet neighborhood, apartment was perfectly clean, kitchen had all supplies necessary, including a dish washer, TV, beds were very comfortable, and the host couldn't have been more welcoming.

The city is very nice, clean and offers a lot of possibilities (both for culture and nature) and good connection to Vienna and other beautiful places like Melk. We would love to come back. Our main complaint is that basically all supermarkets are closed on Sundays.
Some of our favorite places were the Flederhaus and the Musik- und Kunstschule St. Pölten (see photos attached). For the food, we can recommend Pizzeria & Kebap Cimen.
The fact that I stayed at this hotel already 10 (ten) times tells enough. There is a choice of several hotels in close vicinity and if there was anything wrong I would move. The young, friendly and smiling hotel keeper makes me feel this place like my second home. No need to comment more. Just go there and you won't regret. Full stop.
It’s very quiet there. Few minutes walk away there is a promenade along the river.
Old town of Sankt Pölten is just 15-20 walking distance.
Host was very nice and kind answering any questions.
The hotel is near the train station and the city center. I strongly recommend it due to the good location, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff and good food.
Location is good (center), fully remote hotel, no personal contact. No complications. Room was actually bigger what I reserved but I did not complaint. :D
