A renovated castle dating from the 17th century, Schloss Thalheim is surrounded by a large garden and features a restaurant with a terrace. St. Pölten is a 20-minute drive away. The experience was exceptional. Due to low season, the hotel was very quiet and calm. Travelling with two small children, we appreciated mostly that we weren't disturbing anyone with our kids being loud. The staff was friendly, the room spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious. The thing I appreciate the most was their attention when it came to my kids allergy. I informed them in advance and both for dinner and breakfast there were plenty of options available for them. Big plus

Located in picturesque scenery at the foot of the Hochkar Mountain, Hotel Fahrnberger offers a restaurant, a spa area, a bathing pond and Ayurveda treatments in Lassing, 8 km from Göstling's centre. We have already visited the region several times but without having an accommodation there. This time we chose a hotel just in the valley, where all interesting places are located around within 10 km. We were attracted by the Hochkar mountain and both the Wasserlochklamm and the Gams bei Hieflau waterfalls. The Fahrnberger hotel is a nice building already from outside and a reasonably big parking is located in front of the building. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, although we do not speak German (they also fluently speak English). We were accommodated in a nice, separate building near the main hotel building. We like the style how the hotel is equipped: it is a local Austrian natural design but providing the maximum comfort. We felt like we were on our honeymoon there. In the evening we enjoyed a great Riesling white wine in the hotel lounge. The four poster bed, located in our big and amazing room, provided a very pleasant environment in the night. The bathroom with a shower was also big and comfortable. The toilet was in a separate room. In the morning we have a nice mountain view from the window of our room. The breakfast was very tasty and we also enjoyed sitting places in front of the hotel to absorb the atmosphere of the Alps mountains. We left the hotel totally satisfied and the price for the accommodation seems to us very adequate. For sure, we plan to return there in the future.

Very pleasant little hotel, located in the Mostviertel region with many excursion possibilities, even in the hot summer months. My room was spacious, with the balcony overlooking the river and the mountains. The bed mattress was perfect Great breakfast with personal touch from the host lady Manuela. She also prepared for me excellent vegetarian dishes for dinner. I plan to come back!

The castle seems to have1000 doors ,rooms and hidden passages. Staying in Burg Plankenstein is a journey in time. No room is alike,interior is a mix and match from English Flee Market and Renaissance furnishings. Around the castle enough green grounds, Roman path etc. Staying in the castle gives you an idea what was a daily life xxx years ago. What's more you will be very glad having modern,clean bathrooms and Toilet with running water

We did enjoy our stay at this hotel. It was super for families with kids, there was a great playing area for kids. The staff was excellent, very kind, they tried to fulfil all of our requests. It is a 3 star hotel, but food was great and location for skiing also good.
Very charming hotel in the countryside. I also ordered dinner and it was really very tasty. Soup, main course and desert. Family hotel, beautiful and clean room. There are plenty of opportunities for walks in the area and especially for children to enjoy it here I was here on business, but I'd like to come back
