This family owned and run hotel is managed with love and enthusiasm. The owners are "hands on" and completely committed. Our room was clean and freshly decorated with a light modern feel. The location is perfect. There is a large airy air conditioned dining room with well spaced tables and some dividers which create a more cosy experience. There is an international staff some of whome still seem to be learning the trade but all of whom share the owners' approach to guests - to be warm and friendly but professional - a very good balance. Our cleaning staff introduced themselves, worked around us for a cleaning time and checked everything was in order. In short the hotel is clean, and managed pro-actively.
There is plenty of parking and this is surely the nicest part of the lake, with sweeping meadows and plenty of open space down to the lake with full public access. So many vilages around the lake seem in fact to be camp sites with a village planted on the back. Thanks to its long history and the Stift Ossiach is a real place.
We attended an impressive summer concert at the Music Academy in the Stift so well worth checking out their programme which is not widely advertised.
Perhaps above all I liked the owners and the management of the hotel. They are working hard to achieve success. I wish them well.

I think everything was perfect especially what you get for the price. Wellness is nice and cozy, apartments are clean and again get cleaned every day, good breakfast. + the staff is really friendly.
All in all I would definetly recommend!

Surrounded by a 66,000 m² park, Hotel Parks in Velden is located on the lake shore of the Wörthersee and features its own beach, a landing stage and a great view of the casino.
Nice place but too small. Its for relax if you are kind of "stay at place" people. Nature great, but to much privat grounds around the lake. No walk way right next to the lake. Like it is f.e. at Bled lake.
Its sit and enjoy the view, air and peace.

approx. 200 m from the lake, beautiful and clean accommodation, excellent and rich breakfast, very kind and helpful owners, excellent communication, accommodation for dogs, free e-bike rental, they rent sports equipment for the water, private grassy beach, local food, the possibility of many bicycle trips even on foot, beautiful nature. Very easy to do cycle trips ; lots of trails and also easy to cycle round the lake (ca 23km). Also easy to do walks. Swimming in the lake was wonderful.
Reservations definitely need to be done as far in advance as possible during high season for restaurants in the evening. We were astonished how many restaurants were full.
Klagenfurt easy to reach (by car) and Villach easy to reach (by bike) for trips in the towns.

The lake offers a lot.
The lake offers a lot. Hiking and visiting sights nearby is great. The bike tour around the lake was awesome too despite the rainy weather. There's a short hike to three waterfalls which is totally fine and also doable for kids.
For vegetarians it might be a bit tougher to find a good place to eat. Options are limited and during the main season all tables might be reserved in advance. Planning ahead might also be a good idea when visitors want to rent bikes.
Both the bikes (bike point Ossiach) and the food (Stiftsschmiede, Allegro) were of good quality though and the people are really friendly in this region.
Beautiful place, amazing views. The rooms were clean and fresh. Fully equiped kitchen. There is a restaurant and a shop in the same building on the bottom floor so you don't have to drive anywhere. Dedicated parking spot. Great service, everything was organized and there was no suprises. Pretty close to Villach and to their National Park Dobratch- which we visited and it was one of the most beautiful places we seen.
The hotel located a few minutes walk from an Ossiach lake shore. Simple room with small bathroom. Very good breakfast. The restaurant within the building with very satisfactory menu. Nice and helpful stuff. We spent just one night on a trip to Italy and it was quite good shot. Not sure if i I would like to spend more days.
The location and view around the Hotel were really beautiful , the lady in the hotel reception was super nice to us the same for the staff in the restaurant.
The breakfast had everything needed, no complaints there!
Amazing view from balcony - free coffie during the day and friendly personel makes this hotel one of the best we had.
