We stayed in a superior balcony room. Our room is very comfortable and spacious. The balcony view overlooks Hallstatt center and was magnificent. The hotel is located in the heart of Hallstatt. The hotel's restaurant (seeterrace) was amazing in terms of both view and food. The breakfast had very high quality and variety of products. Restaurant staff were very kind. We were very pleased.

Not sure how such proprerties work but our experience here was quite diff from a Melbourne property that we took for two nites. The owner there was an extremely warm and helpful lady. The owner in Hallstätt was just the opposite, even showing her reluctance to talk to guests who have traveled thousands of kms to stay for one nite in her property. A very disappointing attitude towards guests
The plus points are only for the room location, cleanliness and the helpful staff.

This was a lovely stay in Halstatt. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and lovingly decorated. It was so nice to have a balcony too. We enjoyed being able to walk around during the quieter afternoons/evenings! It was also a conveniently short walk to the salt mine funicular. Having parking included was invaluable.
Featuring garden views, Living History (adults only) offers accommodation with a terrace and is located 15 metres from the main plaza.

We love this place!!! Lea was wonderful and took us on a tour of all of the features. The room itself is amazing. It was built on the remains on a medieval mill; it has it's own private gardens and sitting area right next to the rushing waters of a salt brine waterway. Classy and beautiful antique decor everywhere! The beds were very comfortable and the room was spotless. We even had a hiccup checking out (our fault) and they were very understanding and worked with us to resolve everything. Would love to stay again!

Very nice well equipped and decorated appartment. Good location near the lake. Very nice host. You can also have delicious dinner in their restaurant inside the town, but don't be late as everyone sleeps very early here 😀

Hallstatt is one of the most picturesque towns in Europe.
Hallstatt is one of the most picturesque towns in Europe. It's a visual gem. The museum is outstanding and should not be missed. There has been a working salt mine for several thousand years that can now be visited and is real fun, especially for families. There are boat rides on the lake, and a cable car within a half hour bus ride that takes you up onto a mountain with a glorious view over the Alps. The lake supplies outstanding fresh fish. There is no private car traffic allowed in the town, it's largely a pedestrian zone. The parking is remote but within walking distance. If you arrive with luggage, your hotel will send a shuttle to pick you up at the parking lot, but the lots fill up, so an early morning or late afternoon arrival is recommended.

Very nice place but full of tourists.
Very nice place but full of tourists. In fact, too many tourists that might be a great nuisance to the local population (if any still remains) especially in the summer months. However, I must say that, on the whole, I saw people being quite respectful and quiet. The town is really very beautiful and remarkable

The most beautiful place on earth.
The most beautiful place on earth. I hesitate to recommend it because I can see that tourists are starting to ruin it... many signs about being quiet and respecting privacy that were not there 20 years ago. Prices have gone way up. Please don't go if you can't be a gracious guest...

The town is very beautiful but is very expensive and frequent. We went to nature afternoon and it was more interesting - nobody was around. And the some issue is with the town - also crowded around noon time.

Hallstatt is not to be missed!
Hallstatt is not to be missed! A beautiful, idyllic small town with postcard worthy views, wonderful people, and good restaurants. Though many do it as a day trip and it does get very busy, so do stay at least one night to really enjoy the evening and early morning hours by the lake and in the mountains.

Hallstatt was enchanting!
Hallstatt was enchanting! My favorite places were the picturesque lakeside views and the charming market square. I dined at a cozy local restaurant by the water, indulging in delicious regional cuisine. Getting around Hallstatt was fairly easy, with its compact size perfect for exploring on foot. Next time, I'd avoid the peak tourist hours to fully savor the tranquility of this gem
Our stay at Ida Mitt Hotel in Hallstatt left us thoroughly impressed. The owner and staff went above and beyond to assist us, ensuring our comfort throughout. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a delightful start to our days. The room's spaciousness and charming decor added to the hotel's appeal. Its central location in the heart of town made exploring Hallstatt incredibly convenient. Overall, Ida Mitt Hotel surpassed our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this enchanting destination.
Excellent location, unbeatable. Tom, the owner of the hotel who grew up at that very same house, was very helpful in his suggestions. The breakfast was excellent. My partner said the coffee was one of the best he's had during our Austria trip. The bar was very lively in the evening, too. Room was newly renovated. Comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower was excellent, amazing temperature control, better than some of the larger hotels we'd stayed in. There was cable TV including Netflix in the room.
Go twice, go three times!! It was the best hotel in Hallstatt. The owner is very kind and it was best to always take care of the convenience of our guests. All the hotel facilities are brand new and clean. And the view of Hallstatt Lake from the hotel is the best. The view from the terrace and the garden was amazing. I recommend it to anyone planning a Hallstatt trip! There was a breakfast fee, but it's worth it. The breakfast was very delicious!
This is the best experience I have ever had at a hotel. The staff was attentive, helpful, friendly and the owner went out of her way to make my stay wonderful. When I go back to Hallstatt I will make a point of staying there again. I couldn't be happier with the accommodations and the hotel is away from all of the tourist noise and traffic but still no more than a minute walk to anywhere.
The hotel was located in the Hallstatt main square and near the boat station (5 min). The building ages 500 years as the personnel told us and the architecture was unique.
The breakfast is colorful and complete.
The lake view is fantastic at any time of day and night and can be a great subject for photography.
It has a yard where you can sit there hours and not get tired.
The views were amazing overlooking the lake!! The food was also exceptional (we had both breakfast and dinner). The staff were friendly and helped us take our luggage as we were not staying in the main building (about a 5 minute walk). The hotel also takes care of your luggage before check-in and after check out. Would definitely recommend staying if you are in Hallstatt.
Nestled amidst the majestic Austrian Alps, Hallstatt and Polreich captivate hearts! An amazing place, located in a prime location, centrally, but yet away from the noise and tourists fuss. Room was spacious, clean, very thoughtfully decorated with stunning view! The staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations! We will definitely return! Thank you team Polreich! ❤️
The hotel is at the very heart of Hallstatt, in a quiet street. Room was big, spacious and super clean with a balcony with a fantastic view of the town, lake and mountains. Breakfast was super. Although there is no parking onsite, since centre Hallstatt is car free, we had a reduced fee parking with shuttle bus at a nearby parking P1, which was very conventient.
Just a five minute walk from the ferry, right in the heart of Hallstatt. We had a balcony that overlooked the lake. Fabulous room with a very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was very modern. It's worth staying overnight in Hallstatt, but is relatively expensive. We found this hotel a great value for the money. Breakfast was excellent!!!
3 minutes walk to Salt Mine Funicular, 4 minutes walk to admire the beautiful Hallstatt UNESCO village. Parking lots nearby with special Hotel Ticket with better rates with extended stay. Great recommendations by hotel staff for the best Thai food in town.
I don’t usually leave comments, but Franz is an amazing host. Thank you for all your help. This is a wonderful hotel with an incredible view, perfectly situated in the middle of the village. Highly recommended!
The location of the hotel is excellent. You have the Hallstatt lake view from a few rooms which is a great thing. The hotel is near from the ferry boat point and the market.
We loved this Hotel in Hallstatt. It was located in the perfect location right on the lake. Our rooms were lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
