Great experience staying at this beautiful castle, plenty of parking, and convenient short-term parking right outside the entrance to load/ unload. Our room was much bigger than expected and had two bathrooms, with a shower in one and a spa bath in the other, which we would have used had it not been such a hot summer weekend. Very comfy bed, and complimentary coffee. Breakfast was great, as was the service, and we also had dinner at the restaurant one night, which was exceptional.

Really perfect central location with plenty of free secure parking. The room was very comfortable and peaceful (facing the rear of the building). Friendly helpful staff with lots of tourist information to hand. Excellent breakfast buffet, the restaurant evening menu is fairly restricted with some regional classic dishes. In summary a good centre for exploring the region, and the hotel is obviously popular also with bicycle tourists.

You feel like you are stepping back in time to a ghost filled 1920s hotel. The walls are adorned with gilt framed paintings giving and step back in time feel. Rooms were comfortable and I believe a balcony for every room overlooking woodland and town park. Very peaceful.
