Akaroa Criterion Motel is situated opposite Children’s Bay. It is a 16-minute walk from Mt Vernon Akaroa. Best Motel we had in NZ. Very nice people, beautiful big room with a stunning view. Perfectly equipped and all perfectly clean and very modern. Akaroa is a must have when traveling NZ and the Motel is centrally located. We‘ll come back.

Aoraki Court Motel is a modern accommodation located in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. All units feature great views of surrounding mountains and Mount Sefton. There is free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi. The rooms very modern and clean! The kitchen area was well stocked and the bathroom had great soaps and had a fantastic shower and tub. The best part however was having the huge window that had a stunning view of mount Cook!! Just amazing!! Also having laundry available was great! (Does cost $4 for wash, $5 for dry but really nice quick machines!) Beds were comfortable and location was awesome. Only a 3 min drive or a 25 min walk to Hook Valley Trail. (And 5 min drive to Mt Cook airport for Heli adventures) Great walking trails behind the hotel as well and several decent food options around the area.

Delorenzo Studio Apartments offers a heated outdoor pool, on-site parking and free Wi-Fi access. Studios come with a kitchenette, laundry facilities and a private bathroom. Some apartments feature a spa bath. The unit was clean and comfortable. After several days of hiking, we needed the washer and dryer and it was great to have the right in the unit. Also loved the Nespresso coffee maker and little balcony.

Located on 10 acres of gardens, Golfcourse Road Chalets and Lodge with lovely lake, mountain or golf course views. Just 4 minutes’ drive from Lake Wanaka, the property features free WiFi and barbecue facilities. We liked everything. The beds were soft & comfortable, the bathroom is large & beautiful. The kitchenette has a washing machine, which was very useful. The location is quiet & close to town. We had a mountain view which was beautiful. The owners are very welcoming & lovely. My son enjoyed meeting Romeo the horse & feeding him.
