The property is non-smoking and is situated 27 km from Callanish Standing Stones. The apartment was absolutely fabulous! A small house 5 minutes driving to the center of Stornoway. Well equipped, clean, cozy, warm. It looks much better than the pictures! :) We wished we could stay more!

The washroom was spacious and had a jet tub. The kitchen was the highlight for me and beautiful to cook a meal in. And we had a visiting chicken!

Ahead of our stay, Angela was great at coming back to any questions we had - even a special request for Sunday newspapers - thank you 🙏The house is ideally situated in a lovely, quiet street but close to Stornoway for food shopping,eating out etc. Sitting in the living room, looking out to sea after a day exploring the stunning island is perfect. The house itself is beautifully decorated with all amenities needed. I have no hesitation in recommending Angela’s house - it really is a perfect base for a holiday in Lewis.

The holiday home, set in a building dating from 1933, is 600 metres from Traigh Bhorgaidh Beach and 2.5 km from Reef Beach. Outdoor dining is also possible at the holiday home. Perfect cottage by the sea. The cottage is beautifully presented and comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed for our stay, truly making it a home away from home. It was exceptionally clean and airy, and the beds were so comfortable to sleep in. Our host Marie was lovely to deal with from booking to departure and the guest guide is extremely comprehensive, and we loved the welcome basket left for us. The internet was excellent as our speed test showed over 206MB download and 17.5 upload (better than we have at home). The cottage is just a few minutes walk to the beach and is perfect as a base for exploring (although a car is definitely needed for travelling about on the island). The village itself is so peaceful and the local shop/fuel station (which has everything you need) and café and restaurant are only a few miles away. We were told that the rear garden area is not as far on as the host would have liked, but it is a perfect sun spot to sit out at and we noticed more flowers making an appearance each day – there are also a number of different seating areas to choose from around the cottage too. The other croft garden areas we were told will be brought back to life in the near future, and we hope to return and stay again next year to see their progress.
