The service was top class - especially Mavis the Chef, Elliot the guide / ranger and all of them. The place is cosy - delicious meals, with a top class personal touch. All rooms very clean and offer maximum privacy.

Fantastic service. The most beautiful lodge and location. We spent 4 nights here and it was so wonderful, an experience we will never forget. Hope to be back soon! They have a lookout room which is built into the ground next to the water whole.. you can watch the animals from metres away, it was mind blowing:)

Amazing game lodge, with an exceptional location and a very friendly staff. The game drives are exceptional. The presence of the water pond, right in front of the lodge is a big plus, since animals gather there in large numbers. Rooms are very confortable with a terrace facing the pond.

Breakfast was simple (eggs prepared by a nice chef, bread, cereals, fruit scones) but filling after the morning safari. We found ourselves in a garden of quietude with birds chirping, impalas or deer standing here and there (Matildah), monkeys peering at us, insects buzzing, near the river. I felt at peace and could blissfully calm down and relax, even though my toddler was walking everywhere, trying to follow Matildah or a group of birdies. The restaurant area is nice and cosy and the staff is warm.

We’d been lucky enough to visit various lodges in Madikwe before, but were really impressed by every aspect of Tau Lodge. From its fabulous location - with all rooms and the dining deck overlooking a genuinely busy water hole - to exceptional staff and fine food, I couldn’t recommend this too highly. We will return!

Very nice lodge in the heart of Madikwe! I really liked that the lodge was small in size (max occupancy is 14 guests over 4 cottages) as it felt like a private experience and very catered to personal needs. The rangers were amazing and we always had very nice game drives around the reserve. Excellent service overall by the entire staff!!

Great lodge nestled on top of Madikwe river ! Chalets are very comfortable and cozy, lot of space between each chalet for privacy. The common area is large and pool side is great to relax after the game drive. The place is designed for nature lovers, with different view on the river, not fancy like some other lodges.

The lodge is beautiful, luxurious and authentic. The food was amazing and plentiful. The staff are so friendly and thoughtful. The attention to detail to create a 5 star experience was evident. We saw the big 5 and 2 cheetah brothers up close and loved going down to the hide to see the animals at the waterhole. We also enjoyed bubbles in the hot tub!!Would definitely recommend and go back again

Amazing food, lovely staff and the lodges were very cozy and always super clean. The game drives were super interesting, we‘ve seen so many animals, and the guide was super enthusiastic and knew a lot about the Reserve and its flora and fauna. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
