Boasting mountain views, Tophouse Mountainview Cottages offers accommodation in Saint Arnaud.

Tophouse Mountainview Cottages is 30 km from Rainbow Ski Area, while Lake Rotoiti is 7 km away. Popular activities in the surrounding areas include hiking, fishing and kayaking.

The Tophouse was rather far away from other cities. Hence it was very peaceful. Also it offered the option for stargazing since there were no lights around.

Situated in Saint Arnaud in the Tasman region, The Woodsman's Den features a patio and garden views. The air-conditioned accommodation is 33 km from Rainbow Valley, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. Guests have access to a hot tub and spa centre.

This is my favorite place in New Zealand. The accommodation is amazing, and the peace and serenity are outstanding. Anna and Nick are great hosts. I will be back

It was a historical Inn lovingly restored to incorporate a lot of the history of the building. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful rural view. The shared spaces were spotlessly clean and the roaring fire in the dining area gave the place a cosy feel. Helen and Clint were so friendly and hospitable and Helen’s breakfast was very generous. The dinner cooked by the local chef, Sebastian, was also excellent. We both really enjoyed socialising over shared meals with other guests too.

Saint Arnaud was a last minute decision at the end of a trip and I wish we could've stayed longer. The cabins were cosy and the staff were so helpful and lovely, even over the super busy Easter weekend. Great restaurant attached for an early breakfast, quick coffee or a wine, and short walk to the lake and hiking trails.

We had only booked for one night and regretted that we could not stay longer, because the bungalow was really very cozy. It was wonderfully quiet and the view of the meadows and mountains was beautiful. The house was well equipped and clean. Nothing was missing. We can only recommend the Tophouse Mountainview Cottages.

Lovely fully equipped cottage with plenty of room for two couples. Clean and comfortable. Booked for dinner which was a superb dining experience. Thanks Chef. Owners exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thank you for solving our Rainbow road lunch problem and for storing our excess luggage for the day. The location is beautiful and the loved the historical main lodge and gardens. What a treasure you have.

We loved this place! Our cottage had everything we needed, it was cosy and comfortable plus had a decking to look out over the most amazing views. The bathroom and kitchen were spacious and well fitted out. The grounds are lovely and the historic bar was fun and relaxing. Great place for families, safe, fun animals and play areas. I almost want to keep this place secret it was so good :)

We are still talking about our wonderful stay at Tophouse. From the moment we met our outstanding hosts we were so happy with this choice. The cottage was perfect and the setting was beautiful. The dinner was extra special and one of our fondest memories. We are so grateful for the hospitality from all the staff at this charming, historic accommodation.

Very spacious, comfortable cottages situated in a beautiful area; perfectly equipped kitchen, even with freezer. But most of all we enjoyed our dinner in the hotel restaurant (pre- booking required). Sebastian is an excellent cook. With a good wine and a fire burning in the fireplace it was a perfect evening. Don‘t miss it!

It is great alround, no issues. Wonderful views of the countryside and a calf running around the field opposite in the evening. A comfortable place to stay. Note that this is a review of a Tophouse Cottage, not the bar or restaurant, which were not open when I was there.
