The location was great and easy to find. We only stayed one night, which was a shame as we'd have loved to stay longer. The kitchen was well equipped, and things like clingfilm and foil were available. We cooked and used the dishwasher, so again, it was great to have all that available. Loved the outside shower, although we didn't use it.
They provide kids buckets and spades for hotwater beach. The beds were comfortable too.
They also provided a great little selection of books for kids and a couple of games.

A gorgeous little lodge-style backpackers with cleverly designed wings and cottage accommodation. Everyone felt like they had their own space and the kitchen was a great size. The bathroom arrangement was perfect, and with separate toilets and showers close by. The pub next door was very quiet considering it was peak holiday season. Lovely garden for eating outdoors.
The hotel's charming cottages are situated among beautiful, well maintained gardens for picturesque views from your private deck. The location is fantastic - an easy walk to the downtown area and Hahei Beach. It's peaceful, safe and comfortable - a delightful and perfect place for a stay on the peninsula! An added plus: the hotel's restaurant provides some of the best meals I've had since coming to New Zealand!
We loved our two nights here. The cottage is in a perfect location. It rained heavily our whole second day but we didn’t mind as the cottage was a lovely and cosy escape from the rain . It was comfortable and clean with so much attention to detail. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
There’s a lot to love about this property; great location, cosy, freshly painted, this is a charming wee cottage that has obviously had a lot of care and thought put into every little detail. From the vintage furniture, to freshly ground coffee for a plunger upon arrival, to fresh flowers on the table, it made the stay 100% enjoyable.
