Comfortable and quiet location to focus on relaxing, with spectacular views. All modern facilities provided in a small package. Literally sitting next to a paddock with sheep and lambs for company - and one of the largest cats I have ever seen. Friendly owners and lots of information about the local area provided re history and local sights and cafes. Heater on when I got there to take the bite out of the cold day. Much appreciated.

Location was good. We were in the area to try and catch the Auroras that were happening at the time. Local beach was good but found on arriving back at the cottage that we were seeing some excellent displays from the property.
Had most things you would need to cook a meal or two. Bathrooms were good. Plenty of firewood available although as suggested, its better to put the electric heaters on overnight as the fire does go out due the rules about not being able to damp it down.

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Duvauchelle Daydreamer was very comfortable and cosy and the potbelly fire was lovely, heating up the whole house. Spacious living area and nice kitchen to cook in, comfortable beds, a quiet and safe location. Sadly it was not good weather for using the outdoor deck as it looked a lovely place to sit out on and has a pretty outlook over the golf course and hills.
Duvauchelle Bay itself is lovely, peaceful and relaxing and has a good walk out to the Pa. An ideal location for visiting other places on the Banks Peninsula
Loved the country feel of the area. We had all weathers from snow to very warm days and house was cosy and functional throughout. Plenty of room and lots of birds in garden. Near to water and hills, quiet enough to walk, close to general store, only 10km drive to Akaroa shops, walking trails and tourist attractions.
