There are so many words to describe this place, beautiful, exceptional, scenic…. The cottages are beautifully presented and fit perfectly with the vibe of Arrowtown. To top it off they have 2 cats, Charlie and Monty who love a cuddle. To Jayne and family, thank you for having us, we will definitely be back!

Fantastic outdoor garden area where you could eat or drink, with an amazing outdoor fireplace. Attractive day and night.
Excellent high class / quality food in the restaurant which had a hunting lodge feel to it.
Cute clean and relatively new accommodation with an old world, colonial / early settler feel to it.
A beautifully quiet place - perfect for a romantic getaway. The property is run by wonderful local people who pay great attention to detail. The room includes toiletries and a bathrobe, making it comfortable to head to the hot tub. The breakfast is delicious - you feel pampered and taken care of as if you're in a movie, yet somehow it also feels like home :) There's a nice walk near the lodging which we recommend before breakfast :)
The hotel is both authentically vintage, while being comfortable and not feeling dated.
Beautifully restored hotel while retaining its character.
Hot tub was nice.
Has a very nice outdoor space behind the restaurant
Bed was comfortable.
The restaurant quality was fantastic, some of the best food during our entire trip. Pricey, but worth it.
Cosy. Historic. Well presented modern rooms. Lovely bar and restaurant. Good food. Fantastic views of surrounding hills. Garden with open fire area. Hot tub. Good staff.
The room was cozy and we enjoyed the use of the free hot tub during spring where it is still quite chilly.
The dinner at the hotel was exceptional and people come there just to dine in, so make sure to make a booking beforehand.
Meal service was good but sadly dropped towards the end of our meal. I relayed that to the manager and they promptly replied and made note of my feedback, so was a good impression that they took the feedback seriously to improve.
We really liked not having to go far after dinner and a few drinks. We also liked that it wasn't noisy, despite the room opening out into the garden bar, because most people left in the early evening. The room was wonderfully cozy, as was the bed. We wished we had tried the hot tub but it was all too much (in the best possible way).
The hotel has been beautifully restored, with gorgeous cottage gardens. The rooms are small but tastefully appointed, in keeping with the period.
Also, friendly staff & a great meal in front of the fire in the pub.
Iconic hotel/pub, restored and maintained with beautiful attention for detail. Rhe open fires in the beergarden and inside are sooo cosy. Bed was comfortable - not too soft for once!
