The location is amazing, breathtaking views of the lake, especially at sunrise and sunset. The bed is comfortable and the room is spacious. Good breakfast and nice meals too. The gentleman at the property doesn't speak very good English but we managed to understand each other most of the time, and he was always nice and ready to help.

A beautiful place to stay. We stayed here for two nights to do the Yala safari. The resort has a really nice 'safari-vibe' going on. The pool is clean and very welcoming to take a dip. The rooms were pleasant to stay in. We had a small leakage during a rainy night and the staff immediately came to fix it.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
We stayed in a family cottage. Kapila, the owner and his wife are very hospitable and Kapila knows a lot about the wild life in Yala NP. He organised a fantastic safari in Yala block 5 and Lunugamvehera National Park. Almost the whole day we drove without seeing anyone!

Staff and management were just excellent - very friendly. We ate both evening meals at the hotel and the food was good, portions large and prices reasonable for remote location ($5-$7 per meal). The lodge was really clean and excellent size with good air conditioning. The hotel organised a great safari and transfer to next destination. They communicated well prior to arrival re safari options. Food made to order was lovely.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good food in the restaurant, rooms were very clean. Perfect location to go on a safari in Yala. The hotel also organised a Safari for us. Prasad was the best guide and was so knowledgeable! He told us all about the wildlife in the park and did everything he could to make sure we get to see a Leopard! It was a great experience in the Lodge and on The safari with Prasad!
I loved the authenticity of the place and the people here. Chilled backpacker vibes. Roberto is a great host ensuring a very warm welcome to guests offering tea etc .
Loved the rustic architecture , very much in tune to surrounding Nature complimented with the animals on site.
Lodge is set by the river so you can go for a dip and cool down. And ample space for you to relax, read and do yoga.
Amazing stay! Wonderful lodge, the dining area outside is very romantic! You can book a private jeep safari for around 55-65$ per person! We even got a pickup from the beach (2 hours drive) and a drop off to Ella (2 hours) for a very good price. You can get lunch and dinner there since it is in the middle of the jungle!
