A free room upgrade despite booking very last minute was very much appreciated. The room had incredible views and a very comfy large bed. The host was very kind and straight to the point (which we like), offering us a tour but not being overly pushy. Had a very comfortable night and even had a pack lunch made for us for the next days train journey

MEGA HOTEL CHARMING, Cozy accomodation. Super clean, in Srilanka with coconut resort and another few, Elegant Hotel was probably highest peak in Kandy. Eranga was an extremely accommodating and charming host. He came to collect us directly from the train station and had lots of information and recommendations to help us make the most of our stay in Kandy and beyond. He is a very kind man, and White Lodge feels very much like a homestay.
Furthermore, the rooms, whilst simple, were very clean and well-maintained. The view from the balcony is lovely. A comfortable bed and an extremely quiet location made for a very good night's sleep.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Clove Villa for 2 nights. The villa is located a little bit north of the city center, but therefore quite remote and well connected by quickly organized tuk-tuk or cab rides. The villa itself is very charming, cozy and clean and the staff is super attentive and welcoming. Upon arrival we were served fresh welcome drinks and in the evening Umeish - the chef of the house - prepared incredible tapas style variations of curries. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying and dining here.
Absolutely loved the stay. Even with many guests at the bungalow there were no disturbances. Rooms were cozy and had modern finish. You should definitely check the night city lights from the balcony. Too good tbh. Extra credits for the cleanliness.
