It was very isolated with no one around which was perfect. We were very lucky to see monkjack deer in the morning. It was also the ideal location to visit family and other places of interest.

Clean spacious accomodation, everything you would want was included in the kitchen and the beds were comfortable. Location is lovely - not a through route so only traffic is people visiting the place. The beach and marina seemed popular over the bank holiday weekend. Beach is shingle mostly - you can hear the waves from the bedrooms - very relaxing.
Shops are less than 10 min drive away, or a 45 min walk down the beach if you feel fit. Good mini market, a Post Office, decent coffee, several independent boutiques and two fish and chip shops.

The view, easy access to the beach, the huge patio doors! Nice kitchen, comfy settees, easy living. Lovely patio! Lots of airy windows. They have really thought about detail. We would like to go back there. And I mustn’t forget the palm tree!! We loved it!

Old wold charm but modern well equipped rooms
Exceptional cleanliness
Rooms comfortable and charming
All staff without exception were friendly, helpful, polite. Nothing was too much trouble.
Food was fabulous one of the best Sunday lunches I've ever had. Each individual item was full of flavour and well cooked and presented
Loved the setting, so peaceful in the middle of Suffolk countryside.
Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds & gorgeous bed linen.
Private bathroom again spotless
Cannot make any comment about the staff because we didn't see or need them. But knew how to make contact.
The open kitchen was well equipped, but as we only stayed for 1 night minimum usage was required.
Breakfast was lovely and filling!
Staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond.
Room was cozy and large.
When the windows were open it was lovely to hear the birds.
Room was lovely and quiet at night.
Lovely amount of tea, coffee and refreshments in the room.
The sofa was lovely and there was plenty of storage. We had a little hall way and this would have been great if the weather was wet as it had plenty of spaces for boots and wet coats without them getting in the way.
The lodges are exactly as described and the owner is very welcoming and attentive to detail. Everything is exceptionally clean and the beds, furniture and equipment are all of a really high quality.
Beautiful, cosy cottage, directly opposite a great, dog friendly pub (The Angel Inn) which serves good food. Lovely, we’ll stocked, village shop is just a minute or two down the road. We had a dog with us and there is a park with a large field a little further along from the shop, which was handy for morning and evening walks. The churchyard next door is adorable! Pretty, little village, close to Southwold and Denes beach (dog friendly).
