Charming, cozy, good atmosphere, good selection of local beer and tasty dinners, service is both very welcoming and professional, lovely rural location for a good nights sleep, easy access from the main road and ample parking. Overall a very enjoyable long weekend stay, especially well placed as a base camp for trekking and also close to plenty of the other great areas of the lake District which are only a short drive away.

The Lodge and the room was modern clean bright and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The Lodge is in a peaceful location surrounded by hills and countryside. Coffee shop on site for drinks cake and continental breakfast or a pay a supplement for a cooked breakfast at the kings head pub a few minutes down the lane. Highly recommend a stay

I had a lovely stay at The King's Head Inn hotel! I loved everything about it! The location is perfect with amazing views surrounded by mountains. The hotel itself looked amazing with a lovely fireplace, clean and cosy room , comfortable bed, friendly staff, and Keswick is only 11 min away. If you are looking for peace, this is the right place to be at! I will definitely be coming back! 🙂

If you like a rustic getaway the you’ll love this place. A very different experience and well worth it. Sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet of the valley and the occasional visit by the chickens. Cabin was clean and cosy and the bed comfy. Would definitely recommend.

For a basic camping barn, the kitchen was surprisingly well equipped and self catering was easy. The location was great - only a few miles from Keswick and the many fells and mountains in the area. The lady who runs it lit the woodburner for us which made the barn very warm and cosy. The shower, which costs £1 for around 40 minutes, was lovely and hot - much needed after a day climbing wainwrights! It's a quirky place which has plenty of potential, but needs some TLC.
