Ford House was in a very secluded and beautiful location. The house itself was very unique. It had a big thatched roof, plenty of original features and beautiful gardens surrounding it. Breakfast was also brilliant, so much choice!

This is a lovely B&B hidden away in a little tranquil wooded valley. The hosts are charming and the accommodation is in a lovely annex to the house, with it's own access. Breakfast was delicious with home produced ingredients.

The house from the outside appeared to be a picture book historic thatched cottage. Breakfast berries and tomatoes were tasty. Friendly welcome from Pippa who was dog-sitting, who was hospitable throughout. Comfortable bed.

The setting was beautiful. Sharon was so friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed. I crossed off staying in a thatched cottage from my bucket list, so this will make a great memory. Fantastic breakfast. I just loved the antiques. It felt like we stayed in a museum.

If you want to stay in the heart of the Devon countryside in a dog-friendly beautiful old (large) cottage well away from traffic noise then this is the place for you. The breakfast and hospitality are amazing, and the owner's two dogs are good-natured (and good fun). There is ample parking on site, and the pub in nearby Stockland has a varied menu and friendly, helpful staff.
