It was a wonderful house and the location was great. The price was excellent for what it was and the owner I spoke to was lovely. There was lots of space downstairs for relaxing together. A spacious kitchen and kitted out with everything someone can need.

The location was good and the cottage felt like it had a lot of history. Very well equipped kitchen. Ideal place to stay if you want to explore the Lake District. We would stay again if the property was cleaner.

Smashing location for easy travel to Coniston Water, Quaint and Quirky cottage well equipped with a nice small terraced garden. Slate floor added more character to the property, very quiet despite being fairly close to the one of the main roads. Private parking space was a bonus just off the lane at the rear of the property. Early Xmas decorations was a nice touch.

The location, the cottage and the shared garden are all great. I liked walking down to the stream and up the hill behind the house after dinner. The shared shed was really useful for storing bikes. Everything needed is provided, including supermarket deliveries, so no issue with a lack of freezer.

Super cosy little cottage. My grandaughter and I were very comfortable - home from home. We were able to park outside every day - no problem. We know the area well so already aware it is a great location.

We stayed in the cottage for the last night of our holiday and it exceeded our expections: it was clean, comfortable, spacious and had a wonderful patio area to sit out and enjoy the evening sun. The location is also an ideal base to explore either the lower lakes or the coast. The pub itself is very charming and the evening meal and breakfast was plentiful and well-cooked (the steak & ale pie was delicious!) The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful and I would have no hesitation staying here again or recommending it to others.
