The cottage was lovely, homely and inviting, beds were comfortable and the coal fire was set up and ready for us to light upon arrival. Loved the little essential extras left there for us 😍

Location is perfect, it is central for the village amenities and there are walks straight from the door into the surrounding countryside. The room was spot on, nothing fancy but everything you required. Basic but clean and that is all we were bothered about. The rooms are attached to the pub, so handy when you have been walking, want a drink and don't want to worry about driving

Location was spot on - exactly what we were looking for! The property was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. It was perfect for a short romantic break - Cafe, Co-Op and decent pubs all within walking distance. Plenty of places to visit only a short drive away.

Location excellent and the apartment being at the back of the pub meant it was quiet with no passing traffic and we could park right outside the door! warm and cosy!

From the 'wow' of opening the front door to finding that anything we needed was there. Weardale Cottage was very clean and tidy and in a great location. Parking, the Co-Op and the pubs are all a very short walk away. Hadrian's Wall and the famous Sycamore Tree, Bernard's Castle and the beautiful Low Force and High Force waterfalls are all a short drive away. We had the most wonderful stay here at Weardale Cottage.
