Peaceful, stunning views, cosy, with helpful and approachable hosts. No tv which we like. We loved the chickens wandering about, the hosts even gave us a few eggs. Didn’t use our sat nav to get there, the directions given by the hosts are spot on and easy to follow. It is a great base if you like walking as there are quite a few walks of varying difficulty within a short drive.

The cottage is in a fabulous location, with a very different way of life, but easy to travel to the east coast or the Lake District in about an hour. The cottage is comfortable and reasonably well equipped.

Amazing location, walks from the front door, nature and birds everywhere: lapwings, curlews, swallows, barn owls... Free range hens (and eggs), electricity from the wind, cosy wood burning fire. Helpful, approachable hosts, and genuinely dog friendly. Comfortable bed. We were able to really relax here.
