Lovely, cosy lodge in the picturesque countryside. If you’re looking for a quiet get away, this is the place. The hosts are great, and the lodge was spotless when we arrived. 10-15 drive to local villages, and under an hour away for Windermere.

The views were amazing. The lodge was immaculate when we arrived, the host left us some nice chocolate and cookies which were a lovely touch. When we arrived the host showed us around explained the use of the hot tub and let us know she was around for any issues we needed over the weekend. The hot tub was fabulous, fits two which was cosy. The lodge was suited with heating, an air fryer, hob and microwave so we brought along our own food and just stayed in the lodge for a lovely detox weekend.

Spotlessly clean modern Lodge with all facilities needed. Nice touch of visitors pack. Debbie and Barry great friendly hosts. Hot tub fabulous. Sipping champagne in the hot tub whilst snow blowing across our heads was magical. Lodge lovely comfy and warm. Went over the moors to High Force water falls at Middleton. Views amazing especially in the snow. Nearby Appleby is a great little town for pub, butchers bakers and restaurants. Thornhill Lodge is a brilliant place for a short break. Well worth a visit.

The lodge was stunning so clean and super cosy. Debbie was so welcoming, we really appreciated the little welcome basket and we will definitely look to book again. The hot tub was lovely, super clean and sheltered so great for when it was raining. The village was a lovely walk away and the Masons arms did really nice food and such friendly staff.

The accommodation was very clean, cozy and comfortable and a great place to stay after long days of exploring around the Lake District and the Pennines. Plenty of facilities available for a self-catering holiday, friendly hosts and easy to get to. The welcome hamper and hot tub was a nice touch and a lovely treat. Heating and water pressure was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended for two more nights! The lodge is cosy and well laid out, kitchen was perfect for self catering and prepping meals for hikes. The location is peaceful and quiet in farmlands, but also close enough to a grocery shop in Appleby. A great place to stay for hiking and exploring the area. Lovely garden and beautiful surrounding views, and host Debbie was welcoming and friendly. overall brilliant place to stay.
