The little village location was beautiful. The pub itself is such a fun quirky old building and the novelty of ‘running it’ is definitely worth doing! Also strongly recommend contacting Tirril Brewery and getting a keg fitted!

On arrival first impressions were good, the location of the hot tub was good as it’s right next to the front door. Lovely layout and spacious, like home from home, BUT, the cleanliness omg the host Debbie must wash and scrub this place from top to bottom inside and out before you arrive because until going there we have never been to a resort, hotel or cabin as immaculate and spotless as this, a credit to the host, we had an amazing few days.

Ideal for a quiet and peaceful get-away. A lovely location in the countryside. Good to get away from it all but take a torch or headlight as you will need it walking back from the pub at night! Taxi would be a short drive and probably recommended. Appleby and Dufton are the places I visited. Not too far away (short drive) plenty to see with great scenery.

The location is great, very close to everything with the car! The area is very quiet and you get to wake up with birds, sheep ;) The pod was very cozy and very clean. Bedding, kettle and microwave was provided and Carole also left two wee scones with jam and marmalade! We went there with our dog and it was just a perfect weekend away, we will definitely be back!
