We loved staying with Sandra, Martin and Nellie. They were full of information about things to see and do, as well as the local area, which was interesting! Great walk to the beach, look out point and back!

Everything was wonderful, the property, the hosts, the grounds, the added little details, milk on arrival, dressing gowns, slippers. The place was pristine ! Yes the place is a little drive away from shops etc, but, this is just what I wanted. It was so peaceful & relaxing. I would highly recommend xx

Exmoor Hideaway, hotel in Exford

Featuring garden views, Exmoor Hideaway provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 36 km from Dunster Castle.

Great location, a short drive a few minutes from the local, superb pub (Black Venus Inn), a bit too hilly to walk after recovering from major surgery! Dogs allowed, the hosts and children came out and made a fuss of our 1yr old malinois puppy and she loved staying on the farm as well. There's lots of good walks around the area (best follow all-trails app) and really superb facilities, which all looked very new and fresh? The welcome pack has some really good quality stuff, including coffee pods and cookies, etc.

Top quality white linen, pillows and towels. Sitting in the pretty garden with a slice of cake and a cup of tea was perfect. We enjoyed the pleasant stroll along a country lane to the idyllic village with two pubs. It was like stepping into a Country Homes magazine and the hosts were very welcoming. We hope to return one day, thank you.

Where do I start... the most beautiful old home in beautiful countryside, an idyllic rural English village. I wish we were there more than one night. Penny is a wonderful host, the house is lovingly cared for and furnished in keeping with its age and style. The bedroom/ensuite faultless. Breakfast is elegantly set out, freshly stewed fruit, ewe's yoghurt an option. Priority given to locally sourced food and ingredients. We have stayed in many places over past few weeks and this was best.

Loved the cottage so much - great location and cottage itself was comfortable and cosy with good facilities and small but nice garden. Lynn was really helpful and informative prior to our stay and self check-in was super easy. Parking is on the street but we were able to park right outside the cottage the whole time. Milk, bread and jam etc and biscuits for the dogs left for us which was a really nice touch - Would love to come back and stay again in the future

This hotel is very good and the staff are excellent. It is on Exmoor and in a very romantic position. I was travelling for business and both my husband and I were exhausted when we arrived. The welcome and comfortable ambience was all that could be desired. My husband and I are curious in that we do not actually like the countryside, we call it the 'green hell' but the beauty of the hotel and the courtesy of the staff truly compensated two townies on an adventure with everything that could be desired.
