This is a lovely traditional cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and there were lovely big soft towels. The kitchen was very well equipped and the WiFi worked well. We were cycling during the day so it was lovely to come back to a warm cozy cottage. The pub for food is across the road and there's a bar selling pizza very nearby.

Wayside cottage was absolutely lovely. It was very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The location was ideal, and our host, Jenna, was helpful, charming, and thoughtful, the perfect host! It felt like a home from home... but better! We would thoroughly recommend a relaxing stay at this venue in the Pennines 🙂

We stayed at Wayside Cottage in Edmundbyers. Lovely little cottage, nicely furnished and well presented. Felt warmly and cosy. All village amenities are on a short walk from the cottage. The surrounding hills and wider area are very beautiful. Great for nature retreat.

If you want a peaceful get away this is the place for you. Gorgeous little self catering bungalow which was nipping clean, warm and so cosy. Beds were amazing. The location and grounds were stunning, and the owners very friendly and approachable. Can't wait to return.

Lovely cottage in beautiful countryside- very good value for money - no wifi and poor phone signal - but we were warned before booking and this wasn’t a problem to us - warm welcome from the lovely owner - the eggs and homemade scones were a nice touch
