We loved this property!! Spacious and very clean throughout. Modern kitchen and bathrooms with everything you could need. Allendale is an adorable village very close to Hadrian’s Wall sites. Hosts had thoughtfully turned on the heat for us and left a welcome pack with useful essentials. I would highly, highly recommend this townhouse.

The property is beautifully appointed, entirely in keeping with its Georgian heritage but with all modern luxuries. Breakfast was high-quality, ample and well prepared, and thoughtful extra touches such as the homemade biscuits in the room were very well received. The room, and the entire stay, were hugely comfortable.

Everything! The location was beautiful, the hosts Neil and Sue were friendly and welcoming. Neil helped carry our things over to the pod and had the hot tub ready for us. The pod was a lot more spacious that we thought and it was super cosy. The bed was very soft, we slept really well despite the strong winds. We loved everything about the pod and wish we could have stayed longer. The farm animals were so much fun to watch, especially with the little lambs. Definitely recommend this place!!

I stayed in "Roses". A really lovely, cosy room with everything I needed. Liz is an excellent host and even provided oat milk to go with the tea making facilities in my room. The vegetarian breakfast was fabulous and plentiful, too. Parking is free and available just outside, and the countryside nearby is stunning.

Langley Castle is perfectly situated for Hadrian's Wall, Hexham and the wonderful Northumberland countryside. This is a genuine medieval castle, beautifully restored and furnished. Our room, in what was once probably stables, was exceptionally spacious with a large ensuite sitting area. The reception rooms, including the bar and restaurant, are in the medieval part, and are full of atmosphere. The evening meal was excellent, in spite of a few Covid restrictions. All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel too highly.
