A nice apartment tucked away on a quiet street not far from the train station. The apartment occupies the first floor of the one-storey house (the ground floor is a garage) surrounded by small garden, which guests may also use (there are some chairs, a small table and a parasol, but we haven't really used it, as the weather was too hot to sit outside during the day, and we preferred to stay inside after dusk to avoid mosquitoes).
The apartment itself is accessible through the short flight of narrow stairs, so some minimal fitness is needed to bring the luggage upstairs. It has a living room with fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom and a (separate) toilet. The apartment is decorated in a mixture of industrial and land-house style, very nicely fitting the immediate surroundings and a overall feeling of the town .
The location is perfect for the train connections to the castles of the Loire valley, and also convenient to explore the town of Tours.
The hosts are great, they maintain friendly communication and you can reach out to them anytime, receiving prompt response. The very detailed description for the check-in and checkout were also provided.

We had a great stay in La Dépendance. Marie was very friendly and showed us where everything was that we needed during our visit - restaurants, places to visit, markets and bike hire. The gite was very well equipped and beautifully furnished as well as being centrally located in Tours, close to everything. There was also a place to store bikes if necessary. If we came to Tours in the future we would definitely stay again. Thank you.

This is a house with an attached, locked-off studio. It is an old place which has not been renovated but has been cleaned up and simplified. The ambiance is 'form over function', that is, very pretty but nothing works well, and because it is not modernized, many facilities are basic rather than comfortable. The studio is large and has a lovely garden as promised. It suits 3 persons. There is no kitchen, just a hotplate and mini-fridge and microwave. A locked door separates them. The house itself has 3 bedrooms, all upstairs via a circular staircase, with toilets on both levels, and again, a lovely garden. The kitchen has been modernized with all new SMEG appliances, and adequate gear for cooking. It is all pretty with nice touches, but again, function has been sacrificed to the look.
The location, once you learn Tours, is very good. One does have to search for services though, as even a boulangerie is too far to walk; one needs a car for this residential neighbourhood.

What an adventure staying in a cave house! The house has absolutely everything you need. It was the perfect home from home. Even a dishwasher and the owner kindly left some tablets. Lovely seating outside to enjoy some local wine before venturing out into Tours. The house is in the perfect location to walk across the bridge and see the old town and not be too central that you are disturbed by city sounds. We wish we'd brought our bikes as there is a great stretch alongside the Loire where you can ride without the worry of cars. We parked opposite the property and never had a problem finding a space. Please remember that this is a house built into a cliff so there is some moisture. It's an experience, yet so lovely and modern inside. The owners provided dehumidifiers. which did a great job of taking the said moisture out of the air. We'd love to visit Tours again and stay in Gite de Loup-Terre.

Our stay was truly enchanting, like something straight out of a fairy tale. We absolutely loved the place, which had a unique and captivating character. This hotel was cozy and charming, in a great location convenient to the train station and with a parking garage nearby. There are numerous restaurant options within walking distance, and the view from our balcony at night was fabulous. The breakfast was good, and the staff was AMAZING. This is a family operation with a lot of love, and we found them welcoming and knowledgeable, with some great recommendations.
The room and the building were cozy and very clean. Every room had its custom finiture and theme. The hotel is situated inside a vintage and charming building.
A very nice modern hotel opened in July 2021 on the bank of Loire, cosy spacious room with excellent bed and a large TV screen. very good shower cabin.
Quirky, beautiful little holiday cottage looking on to a private garden terrace. Very quiet and private. Very secure. The host was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had.
