We stayed in one of the new cabins. All was certainly spotless and well appointed, the bed was comfortable. Snow fell overnight and the surrounds, although still a building site, made the area look beautiful. The heat pump keep us warm, but the “fireplace” wasn’t connected, so the cosy cabin feel we were after, was lost.

We had a cosy cottage surrounded by trees and bushes. The wood fire came with easy, helpful instructions and kept the cottage warm. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering. It was in easy walking distance of the shuttle bus for Cradle Mountain, which was next to the visitors centre. We had a warm welcome on check in. We will stay there again whenever we visit the area.

Loved this cabin hidden in the bush! It was perfect for our two night stay. My husband enjoyed building the fire. Very cosy and snuggly. Has everything you need for self catering. Host checked if we needed more firewood on our second day - which was lovely.

The cabins were cozy, the bed had electric warmers for each side, the fireplace warmed the cabins up quickly and they were very private. My favourite part was the spa tub in our cabin which I used both nights. If you enjoy a bath on a cold winter night, this is the cabin to pick.

Very cosy little cottage, for a holiday in the mountains. Cabin had a fire, spa and 2 x queen size beds. It was fitted out with everything we needed. This was the 2nd time we had stayed at Highlanders. We are a return customer.

Location is perfect for lots of walking, plus shuttle stop is very close. Our cabin was lovely, especially the fire which was prepared for lighting each afternoon. The whole set up with the boardwalks to the cabins is well thought out. The main lodge is just what you expect in the mountains, fireplaces everywhere, big comfy chairs. the staff were all outstanding, special mention to Alana and Carmel for their 5 star service. The food in both the restaurant and the tavern was very tasty and great selection.

Amazing location with numerous walking tracks commencing from the lodge itself. Also has a resident wombat that happily chomps on grass around dinnertime. I stayed in a cozy cabin with a fireplace, and had a view overlooking a little pond and the lodge. Professional staff, always warm and friendly. Had both a three course dinner and the buffet breakfast, both of which with were pretty decent. There is also an adjoining tavern which serves up pub standards.
