Everything was perfect. The host family was very friendly and ready to help with anything you might need. The room had everything we needed. The location was perferct, very close to the city centre but also quiet at the same time. There was filtered water avaliable for anybody. I can only recommend.

The hotel is in a great location to get to the bars and restaurants, and although this area gets really loud at night, the tucked away location of the Scarlett made it quiet and peaceful. The room was very nice, a good size, with a very nice en suite and a very comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They gave us a good amount of info on check-in, which we really appreciated as we were only in the city for a day. We wanted to change our onward travel arrangements, which they helped with, which was really appreciated.

The property has a small lift, which is good if you have heavy bags. Room was bright and spacious. Good WiFi. Shower was hot with good water pressure and the sink was outside the toilet/shower room. Comfy big bed. Laura spoke good English and was extremely helpful about what to see and do in and around Hue. Walking distance to many sites and restaurants. Had motorbikes for hire.

Plenty of places to visit if you like old historical buildings. The abandoned water park is worth a visit by Grab. We walked around and found little places too eat and drink, but there isn't much in the way of shopping centers. People are lovely and it's not the Tourist trap like Hoi An can be. Defo worth a visit

I love experiencing ancient History. And this is a perfect place for that. I wish I would have stayed a bit longer here. We visited Imperial City of Hue. We hired a bike and it was very convenient for us.

Loved the antiquities museum.
Loved the antiquities museum. Situated near the citadel but a separate ticket. Lovely old wooden palace. Takes about 1-1.5hr to visit. Often missed in the day tours. A day tour is a good idea as they drive you around to the key sights which are quite dispersed. Often excellent value with lunch thrown in.

The Citadel was a little disappointing.
The Citadel was a little disappointing. It has the potential to be a major attraction. The grounds needed lots of attention. The main royal palace was under construction or maintenance, so a 'no-go zone'.
The audio guide and associated map numbering system used to direct users to all the features of the site was very hard to follow and in some cases inaccurate.

Having read about the damage to the Citadel during the 1968...
Having read about the damage to the Citadel during the 1968 events, expectations about the Citadel were modest. However, both the city and the Citadel turned out to be quite charming and captivating. We spent more than half a day exploring the Citadel.
Using Grab for transportation made it easy and convenient to explore the city.
Just try avoid going during hot periods - we went early April and felt temperatures were extremely hot around 42-44c.

In addition Hue is still not too overrun by tourists, i.e. if you stay a couple of nights at which you have the opportunity to go to local restaurants like CHAN and see how vietnamese families enjoy life.
The property really does match its name - it surely is a palace! it is stunning! The rooms are very spacious and beautiful- the staff are so attentive to your needs . Alice was amazing! After meeting us at breakfast the first day - on the second day without even asking she brought us the ice coffee exactly how we like it! The pool is beautiful and big! All areas of the hotel

Set along the Perfume River this lovely old style hotel was just so relaxing and close enough to everything by foot, dragon boat or taxi! The rooms were big and lovely corridors that opened to let the breezes in and overlooking the alfresco courtyard. The breakfast was the best we have had in Vietnam full of choices and fresh! A lot of the staff spoke English so it was easy to be understood and feel like a valued customer especially the manage of the tour operator counter.

Friendly staff from reception to FB staff even I couldn’t understand them 100% as Hue accent. The manager at front desk Ms Phu ( if I remember her name correctly) she is very nice and helpful with hospitality mindset, she even helped me to make a whole city tour itinerary in order to fully experience Hue “Thương “.
Wow! It felt like a 5 star hotel- the staff were always friendly and helpful. A cup of tea is provided as soon as you step back in. The rooms were big and spacious as well as very clean. We loved the balcony to have a cup of tea and coffee. Great location for walking around and restaurants; we were in a small street that was quiet. I would come to Hue again just to be able to stay here.
