The hotel owner is very nice and friendly. His name is Quang. He asks what you need and can he help you? I booked his tour to visit Phong Nha cave and Paradise cave. After the trip ended, he still asked me if I enjoyed the trip or not? I really appreciate his attention and behind the scenes. The next day, he called me early for a taxi early in the morning to catch my train. Thank you Quang very much!

Dong Hoi has some beautiful beaches by the resorts, but there really isn't much else going on. There seemed to be 1-2 streets where you could shop or buy things, and there was no nightlife. I think it's very much a resort town — and people don't leave those resorts.

It's a beautiful fishing village, however they are not used to tourists and not tourist friendly. If you want to see the sights in the area, there are better places to stay at and then go on an organised trip. You can not swim in the sea there either
The Minh Quang Hotel is located in a quiet, walkable neighborhood. Really loved seeing the neighborhood come to life around 4:00PM as children got out of school and restaurants and sidewalk vendors filled up. In addition to the friendly and helpful man at the front desk, we were welcomed by children in the street and a group of older guests at the hotel. Really fun for Americans on their first visit to Vietnam. Our room was as pictured and clean.
The staff were incredibly helpful, especially as we arrived very early (2am) on the sleeper train, so there was someone there to register our arrival.
The hotel has beautiful decor - modern but with clear Vietnamese twists. They have a lovely little coffee shops, selling drinks, that opens at approximately 7.30am

The hotel is not directly at the beach and I do not know what is meant with the private beach, but in any case one can walk in 10 minutes to the sunflower beach/restaurant that is actually the best beach we have seen in Vietnam during our one month holiday.
The hotel was beautiful. The highlights were the incredible breakfast, fast wifi, heated indoor pool, and outdoor Garbo bar where you could watch the sunset. The shower and bath were great and the aircon worked perfectly and wasn't too loud. The staff at the restaurants, especially the hostess, were so warm and lovely. I had a massage in the spa which was also fantastic.
it is some what of a homestay as it says, you are there with family, the rooms are not to bad granted if you are in one of the rooms that has its own bathroom, the wall going up doesn't go all the way up so you some what share the sounds of bathroom time with everyone else in the hotel. The bed wasn't bad, has a closet and all that good stuff. Over all not to shabby

We greatly appreciated the friendly staff despite some communication difficulties (but googletranslate came to the rescue). We stayed there twice, before and after a trip to the nearby national park and the second time round felt like coming home. Location in Dong Hoi is excellent - very central but still quiet!
It's a pretty nice house. Quiet, comfortable space. Here I can see the peaceful life of local people. it's quite close to the beach, it only took me 5 minutes to walk. Here I live with Leo's family. Lim is very clever and lovely. Delicious food. I will come back here when I come to Dong Hoi
Lovely place with a Vietnamese family. They made us feel welcomed and provided all the information of activities to do. The owner is very helpful and helped us book a bus and even took us to the bus stop because all the trAins were booked.
You can rent motorbike on site to go to the caves.
Perfect location just opposite the beach. Friendly, fluently english speaking owner who is there to solve any problem. Cosy atmosphere, especially the roof top bar. The room is just what you need for relaxation after a long day in Dong Hoi. Highly recommended.
