It was during Mardi Gras there weren't enough towels in my room for 4 people to start out with on day 1, went down to front desk and another guess had same problem...we went brought towels from target because of shortage.

We only stayed in Thibodaux because it was well located for our trip exploring the swamp areas south of New Orleans. Also, photographs of the old town looked interesting, although it turned out to be disappointing as nothing was open in the early evening.
The location is absolutely perfect. It is close enough to the center of town and much of the attractions without you getting stuck in traffic. The room was clean and easy to maintain. The shower was amazing! Plenty of hot water and the best water pressure I've ever had at a hotel. Loved the shower head as it had a few settings and all of them maintained the same water pressure. Office staff were very friendly and eager to help.
Any time we come to Thibodaux we check availability here first. The location is perfect, central to all the activities and easy access to the highways yet quiet and comfortable on the gracious property. We love being able to walk a block over for delicious restaurant choices.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the management is incredibly helpful and truly treat you like a welcomed guest in their home.
The beds were ok, apart from that the only other positive thing was the size of the room and the lobby of the hotel which seemed elegant and cosy and gave a wrong impression of the hotel. There wasn’t even a board with the name of the hotel in front of the premises so we hardly found the place.
Although very reasonably priced (65 $ for a huge room with two king size beds), the Carmel Inn has all the avantages of a luxury hotel.

The location of the hotel was perfect. I enjoyed everything about my stay especially how clean the room was and how nice the staff was as well. The check in process was smooth as well. I would definitely stay here again!
