The place is just not well looked after.

The place is just not well looked after. Things falling off the walls, faucets, heaters and soap dispensirs not working, nobody at the desk in off hours, no daily room service, construction starting at 8 am. Loud!

Ocean Grove is a cute town with charming old houses. Walkable with a lovely, calm boardwalk. Beach access costs money every day of the week. Ask your hotel for discounted beach passes if they don't offer them to you.

Ocean Grove is a very quaint and charming town.

Ocean Grove is a very quaint and charming town. It is small but has shops and some small places to eat. ( A short walk to Asbury park provides more formal dining and nightlife). The boardwalk has rest and changing rooms (and an AED that I hope none of you will ever need!). It has no stands or concessions but is great to walk. The beach is beautiful, clean, very safe and quieter than the other beaches at the shore. Parking can be an issue in the Summer so I suggest getting here early.

Quiet beach, lovely for walking and enjoying the ocean.

Quiet beach, lovely for walking and enjoying the ocean. Pretty houses and well-maintained town. Excellent restaurants in Ocean Grove (we went to the Sea Grass) and in next door Asbury Park (brunch at Toast). I love walking between Ocean Grove and Asbury Park and enjoying two distinct cultures (both wonderful).

Delightful, clean, safe, calm town with interest value and no wild parties. Many residential homes and dogs, some good shopping, and decent food. Excellent homemade ice cream at Day's, many B&Bs, and a clean, calm, delightful beach. The Grand Auditorium is fascinating, there is much that is religious, but nothing is thrust upon anyone. Lovely Victorian homes and cottages. A special place, particularly if you like it quiet.

The only thing I can say is that it was close to the beach.

The only thing I can say is that it was close to the beach. This is a disappointing place to stay. No person to greet you, you have to call a number to get your room number and codes.there is no elevator only very steep steps and dirty carpeting. Uncomfortable beds my back and hip still hurts days later. No closet no where to put your clothes. Floors are uneven bathroom door doesn’t lock. Shower is very small you have to run the hot water for five to ten minutes for it to get hot.balcony was swaying when people were walking around and when they were going up and down the stairs. Exposed wires on out door lights. Exit doors had metal wire cover that was rusted and torn with sharp areas exposed. Balcony doors had hinges pulled out of the wood and doors did not work or close well. I feel that the inspector for this facility may have looked the other way. This place is a major disappointment!!! I over heard many guests complaining about this place. I have been traveling for over fifty years and never stayed in a dump like this. I feel that I should be reimbursed for at least fifty percent of my stay. I would never stay there again.
