It is an amazing place to stay, we were driving from Toronto to Rhode Island. It is a beautiful, easy and sophisticated place—very nice and breakfast. We will definitely return. Air conditioning was not at the top in that room, but the owner immediately reacted to resolve it.

The hotel is the sort of place you'd hope to find after a long day's drive — very clean, comfortable, dark at night and quiet. No spectacular views on either side. The room we were assigned looked out onto an empty car park and a garbage bin, so we were glad that the staff member on the registration desk was able to find another room on the other side, which at least looked out at some lights and activity. Bathroom had a bath, and all the expected amenities—shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, tissues, hair dryer. Fortunately after having spent the last three nights at motels with bathroom lights that turned noisy fans on at the same time as lights, this one did not have a fan.
It was New Year's Eve the night we stayed, and we had arrived tired and hungry. We were hoping to order some take out asian food but discovered that there was nothing open in Utica with decent reviews. We eventually settled on going to the restaurant next to the hotel, Chesterfield's Tavolo, and had a wonderful meal served by very efficient staff, in a very lively and happy atmosphere.

Herkimer is town which u could pretty much walk to everything. They have a walmart,2 second hand stores,dollar tree n dollar general. Most fast food anyone would recognize. Ladies tanning places numerous nail salons cheap prices. Ymca n 2 other fitness places. There is bus called Birnie bus it take you to other towns in area super cheap as well Utica n Syracuse. Check little falls scenery is gorgeous there. We met some good people quaint town.

As it was a Sunday afternoon, not much was happening in Herkimer. I had hoped to eat at Otto's Diner, but it closed at 4pm. A quick drive around the historic area and that was it for me in Herkimer. Would also have liked to see the Mohawk Antiques building but it was closed as well.
The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The front desk staff were all eager to help if they could. The room was clean well-stocked with toiletries and coffee/tea packages. The breakfast was just what I needed: yogurt, fresh fruit and cereal. The hotel was located within easy walking distance to a couple restaurants and stores.
So I was looking for a place to stay while I went to Glimmerglass opera . I found Raindrops on Roses it’s a beautiful place very comfortable and Barry &Denise are great host very pleasant and helpful Ready to help you know the area .And you get a wonderful breakfast I look forward to my next visit LOUIS Brooklyn NY
The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. Location is right off Thruway and also near everything. I'm not a camping person so this is were I stay when I am mining Herkimer diamonds.
The hotel was located near everything we wanted to do in Herkimer. This hotel is ok to stay at for one night, however I would not stay longer. This was a good value.
This was the best motel I've stayed at so far. The bed was super comfortable, the room was spacious, pool was great, easy location off the highway, and felt safe.
The location is great. We go hunting for Herkimer Diamonds a couple times a year and the Red roof in is located close to the mines and many good places to eat
Pet friendly with nice yard for walking my dog. Even supplied poop bags! Good location for quick on-and-off Thruway. Next door to Denny’s for a quick dinner.
