Hotel is on Emerald Beach and near by the gulf shore just a 2 minutes walk. Attractions and restaurants near by as well. Decent size rooms for family. Kids loved the pool and the proximity that the property offers. Don't have to cross the road is a plus. It's our second time to the hotel

Destin is a great city. We always enjoy dining out the various resturants as well as the beautiful beaches. The one thing I found annoying was the restaurants now adding a surcharge for using a credit card. I find it petty and disheartening for resturants to do this. I imagine a large portion of thier customers use credit cards since they are mostlikely on vacation. At this point, the surcharge is just another tax that is being put on travelers. Resturants should adjust thier food prices expecting the use of credit cards rather than charge the customers.

Destin is awesome.
Destin is awesome. Be ready to pay $20 for 4 hours parking unless you stay on the beach. Make sure you enter the beach through public access because if you enter through private property no where to set up your tent. Always enjoy the beaches in Destin!

This is the most beautiful beach we have ever been to! I would 10 out of 10 recommend this location if you do nothing other than go to the beach! We went to the Big Kahuna water park one day and that was also a lot of fun! Dat Burrito Place was one of our personal favorite eating places! Merlin's Pizza was also very yummy with great service! The Yard Milkshake Bar is a really fun place to go for dessert and they offer plain milkshakes without all the frills if you don't want one of the specialty items.

You want to stay in SANDESTIN in Miramar Beach just East of Destin. Destin proper is not as refined and relaxing as Sandestin. Destin is too cliché touristy and younger busy and older community looking. Sandestin is classier yet not stuffy. Just East of Sandestin is the beautiful town of Santa Rosa Beach that is ritzy and gorgeous and has a beautiful beach nearby called Blue Mountain Beach. Santa Rosa Beach also has some excellent restaurants also with nice views of the Gulf.

Love Destin.
Love Destin. The beautiful white beaches and the clear water you just can not beat. There is plenty to do from mini golf, go carts, swimming with the dolphins, MY FAV. THE SHOPPING, and Wonderful restaurants and food. This will be our forever Vaca yearly.. Definitely try Mcguires Irish pub the best steak I've ever eaten, AJ's on the bay is a perfect lunch stop and we all know the famous Donut Hole for breakfast...
This property was in a great location, so close to a gorgeous beach. All staff encountered could not have been friendlier or more helpful! The rooms were well equipped and amazing value for money and there was just such a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. I think most hotel accommodation in the USA is hugely overpriced but this represented excellent value for money and we would return in a heartbeat! Thank you to the lovely ladies who made us feel so welcome. :))
Front desk staff always very friendly and helpful! The balconies facing the water are amazing, great view, huge door to open, 2 chairs to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets! (If you're lucky you'll even see dolphins in the harbour)
Had everything you need, amazing smelling lotion and perfectly working AC (not smelly, not loud, easy to use, which is rare in this hotel price range!)

The room was extremely clean and the location was perfect had a outback steak house in walking distance and the beach also was walking distance..... My wife most definitely loved the dove products they had in the bathroom....... This is where we will be staying ever ly time we come to Destin Florida....... The room was nasty, my husband killed a roach on the nightstand. The first day we arrived there were people standing around outside smoking. The couch & carpet was filthy. It stormed & the power went out & did not come back on. My husband & I checked right right after checking in. This is the worst hotel I ever visited.
The hotel was quiet and clean. More adults than children which was nice if you are going away with adults or your spouse. Very clean and saw no bug activity (which is hard to find in florida). This is definitely the hotel we will continue to book with when going down to that area! Good location between 30A and destin
Weve stayed at this hotel twice now and have came back specifially for the breakfast buffet, spacey rooms, and elegant ambiance. The lobby area is so beatiful, there was a wedding held there while we were there. The private veach access is nice as well.
This is our 2nd time coming back to this hotel at Sandestin.. very comfortable bed, big room and a real good coffee machine in the room!!!!
