Good hotel just next to the airport. Supermarkets and shops are just 10 minutes walk. Clean rooms, complimentary breakfast was good enough.

We had to be at O'hare really early in the morning. Staying at this hotel made that really easy.
This hotel is situated 10 minutes from O'Hare International Airport and River Casino. The rooms at the Des Plaines Best Western include a microwave and a refrigerator.

Friendly staff. The shuttle service to and from the airport was convenient. The room was clean and above my expectations.

The place is ideal for people who need to stay near the airport, almost all the hotels offer shuttle services. It's near the CTA station as well. Many chained fast food/ restaurants along with all retail stores are nearby as well.

i was awoke at 11:48 p.m. claiming they smelled smoke. i was sleeping in my underwear. i told him he did not have permission to enter, however, he DID enter my room while my girlfriend and I were sleeping in our underwear. Thankfully, the door was latched. They then charged me $250, i asked for proof, they said they had pictures and i am still waiting for that. Horrible place.

Where to start in describing my short stay at the Best...
Where to start in describing my short stay at the Best western Des Plaines? I travel for work so I booked here for 3 nights through booking .com. I work in healthcare and I work night shift. And despite informing the receptionist that I would kindly like not to be disturbed during the day, I did not get to a chance to sleep. Firstly, the house keeping kept knocking on my door the whole day, shouting in the hallway and at some point they opened my door twice. I kept ignoring them but later when I got to open, there was a guy at the door who walked into my room right away to test the fire alarm. I found this both rude and as a woman traveling alone very uncomfortable. During my second day I made a decision to shorten my stay therefore I decided to check out at 6pm yet they charged my card for 3 nights. When I called, the manager was very rude to me “That is our policy” he kept repeating in a tone I wouldn't use on a dog. “Your policy is being flexible, our policy states no refund” we were exchanging words back and forth because I did not understand why they had to charge me for the 3rd night I did not use.
Fast forward, To my return I then contacted the central customer support helpline, they forwarded my complaint to the hotel and probably the same manager I spoke to who reiterated their policy again 3 weeks later.
In short let me summarize.
Customer service non existent.
Cleanliness. Poor
Comfort. Poor
Value for money VERY poor.
If you are thinking of staying Western Des plaines. Look for another hotel!
We wanted a room near the airport for a night. That is what we got! After calling in for a shuddle-transfer to get us picked up, we had to wait a while but it worked out. The hotel is just what you expect from an airport hotel. There is a gas-station just across a very busy street and a run-down dinner place next to the hotel. We had dinner-to-go and ate it in the "backyard" of the hotel (vulgo back parking lot). Shuddle in the morning worked very well but you need to make reservations to get on it
Location was perfect for our stay. Very close to everything we wanted to do. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Very spacious lobby and dining area. Was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. Excellent. The courtyard itself was perfect for a coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening. Also very spacious and inviting. Free parking was also a plus When we stay in the area again this is where we will stay.
Beautiful home with tasteful designs for the kitchen and bathrooms. Complimentary snacks upon arrival - thank you! The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and it seemed safe around the area. There are lots of spices and supplies in the kitchen for cooking up a meal.
Good clean hotel , comfortable room (had stayed in a big brand downtown previously, and unlike that, everything just worked here, as it should).
Let us check in much earlier than they needed to.
10 minute walk to Target and tons of food places.
It was a decent location and clean, but the whole facility looked worn out. Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. The shuttle service was excellent though, and the restaurant across the parking lot was very good.
The room and entire hotel was extremely clean. The towels and beds were soft. The staff were so nice and helpful. Location was great if traveling to/from ORD. A lot of food and shopping options in the area as well.
The staff were excellent.....the food was good and the beer and bar .
Great service at this hotel .
The room was pleasant
Also a good breakfast and service from the waitress
This is a great, clean, affordable hotel near the airport with a free airport shuttle and kind staff. I like that they have 24/7 free coffee/tea in the lobby.
