The motel is a classic mid-century motel with plenty of parking. They even have a little area with a firepit and some chairs if you're trying to hang outside. It has a really cool, classic-looking neon motel sign too that's great for photos. The location is great as well, just a stone's throw from all that Munising has to offer and a short drive to Pictured Rocks for great hiking.

We didn’t do much exploring in Chatham but we did visit the little grocery/ convenience store. The people were friendly and even the neighbors of the store were friendly. I only wish I would’ve tried the ice cream across the street from the store.

Chatham is a small town near Munising.
Chatham is a small town near Munising. I stayed during a snow storm and didn't want to travel far. There is a co-op store with everything you need. I spent most of my weekend in the Chatham Pub. The atmosphere was very friendly, clean, and the food is decent. I had a very good time snowed in a very small town.

A small town with few restaurants, no gas station or convenience store for a quick coffee or rest stop. There was a small store with gas a few miles away with amazing Yupeer pastries.
This town looks right for the millennial invasion of woke living although the NRA has left it's stamp in businesses in nearby towns. Lovers of nature will be in heaven.
Everything! Cute little motel located halfway between Marquette and Munising. It was a huge room that was freshly redone - the carpet still smelled new! Literally everything looked brand new. Fridge and microwave were convenient to have. The Yooper bar waiting in the room was a nice touch too. Everything was spotless. The owners/innkeepers are great w/communication too.
My family and I were doing a road trip through the UP and this was a stop after a long drive. It's a hotel of the side of a two-lane road. We were not so sure when we pulled up how it was be but once we opened the door we were very pleased. It was large and Very clean. The staff was very nice. I would recommend this is friends and family.
The Village Inn is an AMAZING value and an unbelievable great find. Large rooms, comfortable beds, immaculately cleaned, and friendly and accommodating host. Would not hesitate to book here when visiting the area in the future. Do not second guess booking a stay at the Village Inn. You will not be disappointed.
Small, family owned Inn located near Eben Ice Caves. Close to all the necessities needed when traveling. Owners were friendly, check in was easy! The place was clean and well kept. The room itself was big and included a small fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful little motel, it was cleaner than I ever expected, the bathroom looked like it had never been used. And there were comfortable beds with normal sized pillows, not those couch cushion sized pillows that are in every hotel nowadays. 10/10 would definitely stay there again
I was not familiar with the area and was a bit concerned about being so secluded but this place was the best hotel I have ever stayed in! I felt very safe. It was clean, spacious and so quiet. Management were so friendly and accommodating they made you feel at home.
The village inn was located about 15 miles south of Munising MI. It is super clean and has nice sized rooms that are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and keurig coffee maker. The beds were very comfortable.

This little hotel is a gem. You can pay hundreds of dollars more and not be anywhere close to the cleanliness, comfort, and I can’t say enough about the management.
