We were very surprised arriving to this place, the staff was really nice, restaurant good and funny, the rooms really cosy and well decorated, good value for the money and for us a perfect stop, not far from the hot springs.

The convenience of a stop off for our journey, it had everything, tv, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Everything clean. The owner was delightful, he even offered us cartons of juice and a pastry in a packet for breakfast when we arrived and checked in. As breakfast was not available.
Built in 1877, this historic gold rush property is 5 minutes’ walk to the East Walker River. Free Wi-Fi is provided in all rooms and common areas. Mono Lake is 25 miles away from this inn.

I really liked the decoration (we stayed in the motel part). it was clean and had a heater (we had to use it, did work well).

We loved staying in the heart of the historic town of Bridgeport California. We found the people of the town of Bridgeport to be very friendly and made us feel right at home. Despite being a small town, there are many food options available in the local restaurants. The scenery of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding this town are breathtaking!

Perfect place to stop for the night on our journey to SoCal. We got to enjoy the incredible scenery of the East side of the Sierras with a stop at Manzanar. Recommend stopping at Nicelies for breakfast after Mono Lake!

Much nicer than I expected. Very clean and fresh feeling. I will stay here again, no need to look anywhere else. Relative had a room down the street and it did not even come close to the comfort level I had at Redwood motel. They also will now book at Redwood motel for their next trip.

Had Dinner at Bridgeport Inn in town. Very personable and good food. Two of the stores we wanted were closed. Very quiet town. Our lodging was about a mile south of town and very peaceful and serene.

Only a couple eating places open, and you have a choice of burger haven, a deli, a brewery (closed at 2pm), ice cream place, and the Bridgeport Inn restaurant which had poor food reviews. We chose to eat outdoors so we had deli sandwiches at Alberts. Not good.
We stayed in the cottage following 5 days of backpacking in Yosemite. We were able to spread out, with 2 bedrooms and a single pullout sleeper in the living room (my teenager reported that it was uncomfortable but he was happy to have the space). The woman running the hotel/ front desk was so kind and conversational, very welcoming. The town is super cute.
Almost nothing…. Room was poor and not renovated. Beds were not comfortable. No air conditioning in the room. Phone did not work. Tv did not work so we had to go to the office and ask the employe to come and fix it, what she did. Wifely worked in the office or nearby…. Bathroom very tiny…. The office lobby was closed all night and did not open until 8 am….
I loved how when you entered you felt like you were taking a step back in history. After all, the originality & history of the hotel is what intrigued us. They went above and beyond in the details. The owner was so friendly, welcoming, accommodating and a pleasure to get to know. If we are ever back in Bodie, we will be staying here again.
John was a very good host. He was friendly and accommodating with my requests. I had a spot to park my boat when needed and very importantly the lodge is dog friendly.
Conveniently located on Highway 395 with Twin Lakes, Bridgeport Reservoir, Virginia and Robinson Creeks a short drive away.
It was 20 minutes' drive to Mono Lake and 50 minutes' drive to east entrance of Yosemite National Park. The two bedroom, one living-room family suite was wonderful! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were offered at the restaurant, and the dinner was great. A beautiful mountain view is around.
Family owned business. Excellent facilities and property. Laundry facilities. Guests are treated to a bonfire every evening. There is a nice hiking trail in the back of the property. Lovely grounds with barbecues as well. Minuets from Bodie or Bridgeport
Oh what a place! We were amazed from the second we arrived. Staff and owners were so welcoming. Our cabin was spacious and the bed was very comfy. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant.
When we arrived, we even got a smores kit!
The bed was comfortable, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. The location is just as you enter Bridgeport from the south so is easy to find. The front desk provided an overview of the few restaurants in town which was helpful.
It’s a very cute town and this is a modest but nice hotel. Staff was great, room was clean and comfortable. Loved the view out the back of my room. It was right on a creek.
it's a nice and cozy structure, close lake momo and bodie as well. The cabins are beautiful and well kept, the space around them is naturally beautiful.
