Great one night stay. The restaurant around the corner wasn't much in February, but the hotel was perfect.,

We were very surprised arriving to this place, the staff was really nice, restaurant good and funny, the rooms really cosy and well decorated, good value for the money and for us a perfect stop, not far from the hot springs.

I really liked the decoration (we stayed in the motel part). it was clean and had a heater (we had to use it, did work well).
Small town with good food. Many attractions around.

We loved staying in the heart of the historic town of Bridgeport California. We found the people of the town of Bridgeport to be very friendly and made us feel right at home. Despite being a small town, there are many food options available in the local restaurants. The scenery of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains surrounding this town are breathtaking!

Perfect place to stop for the night on our journey to SoCal. We got to enjoy the incredible scenery of the East side of the Sierras with a stop at Manzanar. Recommend stopping at Nicelies for breakfast after Mono Lake!

Much nicer than I expected. Very clean and fresh feeling.
Much nicer than I expected. Very clean and fresh feeling. I will stay here again, no need to look anywhere else. Relative had a room down the street and it did not even come close to the comfort level I had at Redwood motel. They also will now book at Redwood motel for their next trip.

Had Dinner at Bridgeport Inn in town.
Had Dinner at Bridgeport Inn in town. Very personable and good food. Two of the stores we wanted were closed. Very quiet town. Our lodging was about a mile south of town and very peaceful and serene.

Only a couple eating places open, and you have a choice of burger haven, a deli, a brewery (closed at 2pm), ice cream place, and the Bridgeport Inn restaurant which had poor food reviews. We chose to eat outdoors so we had deli sandwiches at Alberts. Not good.
The standout feature of this place is it's location. It's *not* near the town, there are no facilities or eateries nearby, but you can sit outside in the meadow and grill/BBQ while watching sunset over the mountains. Its right on the highway, but at the same time peaceful and quiet.
The rooms are mini cabins/lodges as one would expect. The showers were nice. There was no AC but there was enough cool breeze coming thru the windows.
I booked a 1 bedroom hotel and got confirmation on Tuesday but I believe somehow they made changes and sent me a second confirmation so didn't check thinking that it was the same one they just confirmed because I was in the middle of my move when I arrived at the property they told me that the reservation was made for the trailer home no apologies nor did we get any generosity. Would not recommend anyone stay at this motel.
The man at reception was very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
The room was smaller than some other motels we had stayed at but was perfectly adequate for our needs.
I loved the proper small town American experience, however some people might find the limited provisions in the General Store an issue or the limited choice of places to eat (3 diners / restaurants I think).
You are back to mid 1800! Very 'particular' hotel and town. Do not expect a comfy hotel or any facilities. I see the owners are still expanding the property so maybe a breakfast room will be available soon. Btw the owners are very nice and I loved what they are trying to do with the property. I just think that stars on booking are misleading
The cabin/room was sweet with knotty pine paneling. The pet friendly attitude was awesome. Hiway 395 is close, so theirs some road noise, but to be expected and not a big deal for me. It was a cozy spot for a road trip night in transit. I’d def return if I need a room in the area.
The rooms were very clean and so were the shared bathrooms. The bar was super cool and the "old-time" vibes throughout the hotel were fun. It was located in the center of town, so it made it easy to explore. The restaurant was delicious and the prices were very affordable.
Family owned business. Excellent facilities and property. Laundry facilities. Guests are treated to a bonfire every evening. There is a nice hiking trail in the back of the property. Lovely grounds with barbecues as well. Minuets from Bodie or Bridgeport
Solid choice for travel to the eastern sierra. Older hotel, maintained well. Small rooms, but decor is solid and they are cozy which is a must given the cold overnight temps in the area.
It’s a very cute town and this is a modest but nice hotel. Staff was great, room was clean and comfortable. Loved the view out the back of my room. It was right on a creek.
Jeff & Jo's hospitality, moments from the past that are encapsuled in this beautiful hotel, proximity of Yosemites, amazing nature that surrounds Bodie Hotel.
