The staff, the location. We did not actually stay at sea side
The motel was under renovation. We stayed in an alternate accommodation, but the staff was so polite and nice that we dis not mind any inconvenience

The staff is amazing! Constance had stellar hiking recommendations, Penny was really friendly, and the gentleman there during the days had amazing restaurant tips. They were so helpful and all took the time to chat about their favorite local spots. It really made my trip.

The time spent was on the opening shoulder season. The price was awesome and the staff as well. If you want a 100% of all the facilities just wait a few weeks and you will have some great extras. Perfect distance from Bar Habor as you are in your own small hamlet

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!!
Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!! All the shops and restaurants seemed locally owned and unique to the area. We enjoyed lots of seafood like fresh lobster, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Be sure to walk the coastal path and take a harbor cruise! We loved flying Cape Air from Boston to Bar Harbor to see the coast and islands--just be sure to pick up your luggage in Boston and bring it to the Cape Air terminal! Restaurants we liked-- Geddy's, Ben & Bills Chocolate Emporium for ice cream/gelato/fudge, Stewman's, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound --they had outdoor games, too! Of course, don't miss Acadia National Park and Abel's Lobster right by the yacht yard--great outdoor ambiance!!

We enjoyed sunrises at Cadillac Mountain, crossing the bar at low tide, hiking the Beehive, the Bubbles, and Acadia Mountain, and walking on a small portion of the carriage roads.
Bar Harbor had great food, but it was tough to get into the restaurants. Our favorite was the Side Street Cafe.
We went in late October. Pros - lower crowds. Con - water activities and some restaurants were already closed for the season.

We loved Gaylns restaurant, excellent food. Whole belly clams were terrific at the Thirsty Whale. You can walk just about every where. The Sightseeing & Nature Cruise with Acadian Nature Cruises was worth taking.

absolutely gorgeous.
absolutely gorgeous. Loved the distance from the hotel to Acadia Nt'l Park, as well as, to the center of Bar Harbor. Love all the shops & exploring the different restaurants in town. We've been 1x before & the weather was perfect for getting great views @ the top of the mountains in Acadia. This time, we weren't so lucky - very foggy daily. But it was still just as beautiful. Highly recommend. the outdoor pool & hot tub are fantastic here after a long day of biking/hiking. The view of the ocean with the docked ships is quite beautiful. If you're lucky like we were, you may see Bald Eagles, deer or other wild life. :)
Perfect location for a stay at Acadia National Park...walking distance to all restaurants, close to entrance to park, quiet area. The room was clean and inviting, bed very comfortable. We were surprised by the take away breakfast...perfect! The staff was so helpful in recommending restaurants as well as best things to see first on way into park...so many good recommendations. We hope to go back and will stay at the Bar Harbor Manor again.
We love the location of the hotel with its gorgeous view of the bay. The family suite was perfect for our group of friends with extra space, comfortable beds and a sitting area. The Bistro menu is quite good and the morning breakfast is the best ever. Pool and hot tub provided much needed relaxation and some exercise. The staff is always courteous and helpful. Atlantic Oceanside is our favorite accommodation in Bar Harbor!
Great location. 10min drive Arcadia Park, 4 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor by auto. Nice sidewalks and walkable in 30 min, but cool and dark early in October.
No breakfast, but the wifi works well, and local map at the office proved very helpful.
Rooms are clean, and usb charging options.
Our room had a luggage shelf, loved it.
Ice machine worked well.
Many pros
All in all, would stay again.
It was exceptionally clean, friendly helpful staff, really close to town. Loved the front area where you could relax in front of the hotel. Cookies and coffee in the lobby. Breakfast served right to your room! Included in stay if you are in the inn part. I was in the Sargents room. The porch was delightful and wishing I could have used the pellet stove but it was not quite the weather for it.
Did not stay they wanted $50.00 pet fee each for our two dogs. Would have been a extra $300 on our bill. Should inquire that when booking. Very disappointed we will never use book.com again. Days Inn still changing full fee for not even staying with them. I thought pet friendly place would have a area for dogs was no grassy place for the dogs the pictures are decieving.
Contactless check-in with room code texted to your phone is so convenient. Comfortable bed with a small kitchenette and mini fridge. Located very close to Acadia park entrance as well as downtown Bar Harbor. Great water pressure though the stand up shower is a bit small.
My friends and I have stayed here once before and like that it is pet friendly, has free-parking, and best of all, is walking distance to downtown and a quick 10 minute drive to Acadia itself. The staff were all very kind and accommodating.
The room was very clean and very beautiful. The view was the best I’ve ever had from a hotel room. The room was right next to an on property restaurant. The town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are within a few miles. Lovely place!
The location and view were exceptional! Room was spacious and clean! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and very good! Not too close to hustle of downtown Bar Harbor but close enough to pop Don for food, drinks etc!
This is a hidden gem! Off the road so quiet and a true ocean view. It was foggy for our first 36 hours, not unusual for Maine. It is an older Hotel but bed was very comfortable, all supplies were at hand, and very clean, and quiet.
Location ( perfect location in the town of Bar Harbor - for Arcadia NP you need to take your car) in town but no noise
Clean
Good WiFi
Parking space
Breakfast basic but good with fresh fruit
Staff friendly
Great breakfast options. Perfect location to bike to park and downtown Bar Harbor. We have stayed here many times over 15 years and have never been disappointed! Great place for families, couples, anyone!
Location was the best part of this hotel as it was in a prime area near all the bars and restaurants. We never had to drive anywhere. It also had free parking.
