All the Smokovecs are excellent as a base for a longer stay...
All the Smokovecs are excellent as a base for a longer stay in the Tatras - they are very well communicated with the other towns along the foot of the mountains, so you can reach most of the trails quite easily (and get back afterwards). The city of Poprad is also very easy to reach by the electric train. The town itself has several interesting old buildings, and is not short of good places to eat and relax.

The location is excellent, quiet yet close to two train stations (Novy Smokovec and Sibir). The center of Stary Smokovec is also in easy walking distance. For visitors without car, this location is optimal, as it isn't too far from either end of the Tatra railway.
The building and the furniture are brand new and modern. The apartment has plenty of space for 4 people. The beds are very comfortable. A large table is well suited for family meals. Nice bathroom. The staff was nice and helpful.
My wife and I spent Christmas and New Year at the Atrium Hotel High Tatras. Throughout our stay the staff did everything to insure we had a wonderful holiday.
The facilities more than met our expectations. From the reception, the restaurants, wellness center, to the bowling bar the staff were most curtiest.
Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding with a wide variety off dishes to select from.
Adjacent to the hotel is a ski slope which is also well maintained.
The stuff is very friendly and well organised for the families with children.
Amazing program was prepared each day and children were given the opportunity to participate in different activities.
Loved the small snack table with fruit tea and freshly baked pancakes or cookies available all day long for the children.
The rooms were nice and clean with white sheets and towels.

The villa is located 5 mins walking from the train station - novy smokovec. They offer very rich breakfast, dinner, and the wellness is great, access to three different types of Sauna, water massage, and relaxing zone.
The room and the toilet are very clean, the bed is comfy.
The lady at the reception is great, very sweet, kind, and handling many things at once.
Exceptional stay! Beautiful accommodation, modern, spacious, clean with comfortable bed. Amazing fresh breakfast with many options. The stuff is one of the nicest I have ever met in a hotel. If you plan a stay in High Tatras, I can only recommend this Villa, I promise you wont be disappointed. We will return for sure :-)
Penzión Sibír is a very well located guesthouse in Nový Smokovec. Nearby you can find the train station, the center of Stary Smokovec, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy, so everything you need. A very good base for the surrounding trekking routes. Nice and friendly owners, good breakfast.
Brand new, comfortable, cozy, well equipped apartment perfect for a couple. Very nice location in Novy Smokovec, walking distance to restaurants as well as to mountain trails. Seamless check-in with entry codes delivered on-line.
The location was really good. Sibir and Novy Smokovec stations were really close,also a great restaurant was in a walking distance. We liked the vibes of the wooden house. It was great that we had also a smaller common kitchen.
