Very warm welcome. Super breakfast. Apartment B is very big and luminous. Tasty decoration.
The location is very beautiful. The variety of restaurants is low as well as the foods. During cold days it is very hard to cross the sea. Generally I recommend this place more on warm and sunny days.
Cute little hotel located on the beautiful Marstrand island. The hotel is simple, clean, with basic facilities (tiny rooms, super tiny bathrooms). The location is in the village, very close to the coast but on Marstrand any location is great! Breakfast was good, again nothing fancy but copious and correct. Make sure you travel light as you need to leave your car and take the ferry (there are no cars on the island) and walk to the hotel (5min from the ferry pier).
The hotel management doesn’t like dogs.
Fortunate to stay in this historical site , was very unique and pleasant experience . Staff were really kind and helped us with information around Marstrand . Inspite of stay there is wealth of information available in and around castle , castle is well preserved and maintained with guided tours ( please check website for timings ) and bonus is Viking style breakfast :)
The location is amazing - right by the water. The spa was great . A lovely place to spend a rainy afternoon.
From our window you could only see a roof which was a shame. Check with the hotel in advance if you want a view .
Breakfast was lovely . Not a buffet but a great selection of breads, fruit and yoghurt .
The place itself is outstanding! It is memorable to spend a night and a day in a fortress. Surrounding landscape is really worth to see and Marstrand is a lovely small town.
Personel of Soldatens B&B is toppen!
Ps. Private bathroom on the corridor works surprisingly well.
excellent it’s hotel stand on the property of Carlstens Fästning./former prison. you sleep in renovated room that may been the officers room. privat bathroom. A very proffesional guided tour of the castle was included. we got picked up by the staff at the ferry
It is a historic property, well maintained and fits the history of Marstrand Island. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and well decorated. The breakfast was generous. Staff was friendly and transported our bags to the ferry on the morning of our departure.
The location is great and there's a great view from the hotel's restaurant.
The restaurant is pretty decent, nice terrace but the food menu is a bit limited.
