A splendid apartment with a perfect host. Upon arrival our host was extremely welcoming and gracious, and immediately offered to show us the nearby lake.
After cooking using the good equipment available, we enjoyed a fantastic evening on the lake, learning about its history and construction from our knowledgeable host.
We had a pleasant sleep and woke up to the beautiful view of the lake once again.
Special mention to Belka the 'sheep' dog, an affectionate and lively fixture of the accommodation.

Nice location near the lake of Vlasina and the surrounding mountains. Off the beaten track, in the nature, with lovely views from the rooms over the lake, clear air, and possibilities for hiking in the mountains. The hotel is well-designed and modern, with a sustainability theme and use of the local wood and stones. Staff are helpful and the breakfast is good as is the food throughout the day at the hotel restaurant. Although there was no air-conditioning in the room, being in the mountains the temperature was not hot even in August, and with mosquito nets on the windows it was great just to have natural ventilation at night. It would be so cool, we actually needed covers to not get cold.

The place is clean and well maintained. There are lots of things that one might need in the room.
The air-conditioned Kompleks Fontana is located between Vladicin Han and Surdulica, 4 km from Vladicin Han Train Station. The property houses a restaurant with a large outdoor dining area.

The location is ideal for ones who travel from around Transylvania towards Greece, as it is a 7-8 hour drive to Predejane then a 5.5 hours to Halkidiki (wake up, have breakfast, drive, and in the afternoon/evening you get your first bath in the sea in Greece).
It is located in the mountains so most of the time you will get fresh air outside in the evening and morning.
Some people complained about dogs around - they were, but not agressive, just happy to get leftover food and lick your hand
Some complained about language - OK, the staff is not academic in English, but good enough to handle your checkin, payment, checkout and bring what you ordered at the restaurant. For us this was sufficient for a one-night stopover.

The property is really close to the highway and it has a homely invironment. Small parking with video surveillance in front of the house. Exceptionally clean rooms and a very friendly owner.
This is a peace of heaven for nature lovers. Not place for people who are more for active and modern way of vacation. Great for families with small children and I think, for weekend hangout with friends. Vlasina lake is so pure and clean, beautiful coloured water.
