Great city for a weekend trip from Sofia. Plenty to see and experience. The food is delicious and cheap. The people are hospitable and kind. There is a beautiful view around the river and the fortress. Try some pleskavica and enjoy yourself!

Great shopping areas, amazing food and everything very affordable. Very helpful and kind people everywhere. We shopped in Delta shopping mall, but we found a lot of local stores in the "underground" as they call it. Massive shopping area under ground, just under the pedestrian zone near Ambassador hotel. Absolutely everything you can imagine, clothes, shoes, dresses, leather jackets, purses, watches, etc.
Not many people speaks English, always have some cash with you.

a good place to stay overnight. the restaurants ( especially in the hotels) are quite good and very reasonable in the pricing. as far as sightseeing is concerned there is nothing special to mention. however if you want to visit the sights in the wider area of Nis it definitely is a good choice to stay there.

I know lots about the town of Nish, but haven't stayed before. The nightlife is just amazing. There are so many places you could go out and enjoy and it is not too expensive, too. We were there for a concert and we loved every minute of it.

We stop in Nis for one night on our way to Greece and back. This year we had really bad luck cause the weather was awful on both days we stopped in Nis. Rainy and extremely cold. We could not take advantage of the city. We always stay in the center which is great to go for a walk downtown or in the fortress. We always eat at Stambolijski restaurant and the food is amazing.

The hotel is really central to the main shopping area in Niš. Also it is just a short distance away from the airport. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast is mainly à la carte, offering a selection of different omelette and egg dishes with various fillings.
The room was quite spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location is also very safe for solo female travellers.

I had an excellent stay. Although I arrived early, the host rushed over to let me in to the property and guide me to the private parking. The room was very comfortable - and featured, in my case, a balcony overlooking the main street. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Niš.
