An excellent starting point for a pleasant boat trip along the Danube, in the Iron Gate gorge and for a visit to the medieval fortress Glubac. If you like local fish or grill, eat them in a restaurant Lepenska ribica .

We visited in early July.
We visited in early July. Sleepy village during the day but came alive at night with locals and tourists. However, noise did not go late. Lovely view and great location for exploring Derdap Park. On the weekend there is a free local performance of Sebian culture.

Donji-Milanovac is a small charming town located on the banks of the Danube River, and it's a great destination for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of the Iron Gate Gorge. It's also a gateway to Djerdap National Park with its numerous hiking trails. The town itself is small and picturesque, with a laid-back atmosphere and friendly locals. There are a couple of restaurants on the main street and a few scattered along the river road, but the food was great.

The tourist office in Donja Milonovac is staffed by the friendliest, and most helpful employees in Serbia. They provided us with maps, information about hikes in Djerdap NP, boat excursion on the Danube, hiring bicycles, and location of shops. The office even provides a public toilet, which is convenient before boarding bus.
Of the / restaurants where we ate dinner I recommend Kafana Kapetan.
The hostel near the gas station rents both bicycles and kayaks. We rented cycles for excursion to Lepinski Vir.
