Wonderful cottage surrounded by mountains and forest. Loved the tasteful homemade food made by Ana, our host, from natural fresh ingredients harvested from the farm's garden and produces from the farm's animals. The owners are wonderful, friendly, and very accommodating persons. We had a memorable vacation. We enjoyed hiking in the nearby mountain's trails. Relaxed. Enjoyed peaceful moments and breathtaking views. We are looking forward to coming back in the near future. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness.

Padiș-Glăvoi Camper-van, hotel in Padis

Situated in Pietroasa in the Bihor region, Padiș-Glăvoi Camper-van has a garden. The property features mountain views. The property is non-smoking and is set 36 km from Scarisoara Cave.

The place is far in the mountains and far from civilization. It is nice, especially if you like traveling in nature. The hosts were very friendly and tried their best to make our time pleasant. The experience of sleeping in a Van in nature was very interesting and different and unique. Take the next things into account before ordering: 1. The road to this place is difficult and not paved in the last 2.5 KM - take it into account when you book, especially if the time of the year is a time when there is rain or snow. 2. There is only solar electricity in the place. The van doesn't have working charging stations (at least it didn't work when we stayed).

Surrounded by forests at 1,100 metres above sea level in the Apuseni Nature Reserve, Pensiunea Scarisoara is a traditional farmhouse with a restaurant serving Romanian cuisine and homemade products.

Perfect!!! It was more than we expected! Great location, amazing owners and staff. Nice, calm mountain area with cows, chickens, dogs, and cats. Definitely worth to have dinner and breakfast there! Food is local and made from their ingredients (we had mushroom soup with mushrooms from forests around and morning milk from the cows we meet).

The location absolutely amazing, clean air, lot of trees, we could see the traditional occupations of local people. We made excellent walks in the wood and on the mountain. The region is amazing rich in karstik natural monuments. We enjoyed the local food and tasted bio local products. The acces from north is very bad, but the road from Pietroasa is excellent

Fairly small place with several bed-and-breakfast facilities all offering similar accommodations at 3 star level. Not a soul walking outside before 8am (breakfast time), fresh air and fairly quiet all day long. Excellent position in the middle of most interest points in the area (Muntii Apuseni), ideal place to set base for one liking to walk trails. Buy yourself a good map at lowest available scale, most places in Padis or Glavoi have few choices to offer. Several natural caves can be explored with proper equipment, one should at least have a good headlamp handy. There was some ABC type store never opened during our stay, stocked with bags of chips and not much else as we peered through the window, I was able to buy from the resorts bottled water and soft drinks, chocolate, chips and cookies, no fruits and vegetables at all anywhere, thus bring your own. Mobile signal intermittent/unreliable with my "moto g6" phone oscillating between one line and none, missed few calls while there, but working fine on most trails. Transportation to and back to civilizations can be difficult if you don't have your own. June tends to be on the rainy side but I like it for finding the most pristine nature and clean trails washed by the winter snow, September is considered the best by many others for fair weather.
