A nice place to visit during season, as if you go off season...
A nice place to visit during season, as if you go off season it will be a bit deserted. You have three different regions in Mamaia, one where the fair is, there is a bit crowded but the prices for food are more ok, second is the middle part( here the downside is the bicycle lane that goes right thru the middle of the waking area so you always need to pay attention not to get hit) , where you have some nice restaurants but if you want to go to the water it will take for ever as the beaches where enlarged and the third one is Mamaia Sat where the hotel look a bit nicer, the water is close by, but the prices are the highest.

Family beaches with sun beds and umbrellas for rental are great but you can just put your towel down and swim too. Excellent for evening walks and lots of good music available, like Princess Beach Club and Nuba Club.

Long beaches, large enough the width of the beaches, nice modern buildings....from a distance, all are good! But, come to the closer, try to drive between buildings, big shock! There is no asphalt road, no side walk, nothing, there is no surface clean and green! All you can see, stone, sand, and dust!...Beach sand quality, sea water quality are poor. Restaurants near beaches are not enough and also expensive.

It is the second time we stay at Splendid Hotel and we'll surely come back next year (great food, pool).
You can walk/run on the beach, visit old citadels (Enisala, Histria, Capidava, Adamclisi etc.), the museums (”Dinu și Sevasta Vintilă” museum in Topalu, Museum of National History and Archeology Constanta etc.), see Cheile Dobrogei / Gorges of Dobrogea, The Great Mosque in Constanta (Carol Mosque), The Casino and many more.

Why Mamaia became so abandoned????
Wish, hope and pray for some improvement for the following season...
apartment was in ideal location to get to the festival we were attending in Mamaia but also close to the Constanta old town which was great for food and quiet drinks. It is modern and has great working facilities on site. I would recommend staying here if travelling to the same area as everything is a short ride away using the taxi app services or a nice walk when the sun is out. great first time in Romania the people were very welcoming.
Beautiful hotel, we will return next year. We loved everything, the room, the delicious food, the pools, the SPA, the professional employees that are doing such a great job in keeping the hotel so beautiful! We had a really great holiday there and would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Romanian seaside and wants to have a 4 or 5 stars standard accomodation.
It is a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Its location just on the beach promenade makes it perfect for a beach vacation. Practical is also that it is situated just by the cable car station. Good breakfast buffet with both warm and cold options. Nice roof bar/restaurant with great view over the sea and comprehensive menu with affordable prices.
Good location at the beginning of mamaia. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Bus stop to old town close by. The north side is more apartment focused so this is a good place for a non Romanian tourist. Hotel rooms are clean poolside is ok. 1000e for a week is a nice value for your money. Bavarian blue looks good also if this hotel is full.
A very good hotel, many facilities and amenities. An extremely rich and varied breakfast. You have access to the swimming pool and sauna for free and massage for a fee. Although located on the main road in Mamaia, the well-made windows insulate the sound very well.

The parking is large enough even for busy times. We didn’t get to try the food down at the restaurant, but saw that the menu prices were more than reasonable for Mamaia.

We came back and had again an amazing stay. Our kid had lots of fun for hours on the inside playground area. We relaxed in this welcoming, luxurious, and comfortable hotel that continues to surprise us.
The room and bathroom were very clean, just like the common areas of the hotel. We had neighbours who had left the room with the tv on very loud and we couldn’t sleep, and they solved it very fast.
