An undiscovered gem of a city at the doorstep of the Carpathian Mountains. Interesting on its own, but also great as a springboard for the explorations of the surrounding mountains, cities, castles, and fortified villages.

We went there to visit family. Otherwise mot much to do or see( sorry). The whole city was dug up to re-do the road structure , so a nightmare to travel both by foot or car( done both).
But you can find cheap, diverse, very tasty food in the city “ pe pietonala” ( as local people call the heart of the city)

The city is very nice and clean, nice friendly people, i enjoyed taking strolls in the municipal park , and in the center is very nice in the evening, very lively.
I ate at Crama Veche in the municipal park, i highly recommend it, very good food, a lot of traditional dishes ( the sausages are amazing - sold by half/1 meter ).
Around the city there are some nice places to visit if you like nature- lacul Colibita. Also 15 km from Bistrita you can find a shooting range which i personally loved.

The location on the maps is not up to date, there is a bad smell in the hotel, the noise of the doors was very strong, at breakfast you did not have too many choices, the beds did not look clean, the bathroom light had a sensor that did not detect you, and the light often stops
The apartment is small but the design interior is extraordinary. The designer was a genius. Everything looks aired and it is fully functional. You have a washing machine and a dishwasher machine a balcony and two desks where you can write or read. The furniture is a combination of metal wood and stone and it is quite breathtaking. There is a public parking space quite close to the apartment and it is close to the city center less than 10 minutes on foot. Definitely the apartment to choose if you want to see Bistrița with maximum two children.
The hotel looks impressive and a substantial investment in a quiet city i.e. Bistrița. The rooms are quite big, and some of them have balconies (the ones in the back). The furniture is good quality, old-school. A big desk is there for your work-in-the-room needs. The bed is comfortable and big enough. The elevator is also impressive and provides access to the underground parking. There is also an outside parking. Breakfast was pretty good, and the staff from the restaurant is kind and helpful.
My second time in this lovely apartment. My first time was during winter and I wanted to visit again during spring, which was an excellent choice as both the apartment and Bistrita were wonderful.
I appreciate that they are constantly improving the amenities, as this time there was a kitchen and new pieces of antique furniture which were great.
Looking forward to my next visit!
very nice situated, close to the city Center. when we arrived, there were some poles to block the parking places as for the hotel clients, and I wanted to move one and one of the staff moved it for me, welcoming us.
the room we stayed was a bit hot, the ac might have been broken and they immediately changed the room.
I booked the room with booking.com, but because of an error , occurred that the hotel is full. So we risked to sleep in the car. But the staff helped us and gave us their office, so everything was fine, and the night was comfortable and calm. Thank you.
They prepared the infant bed (crib) well, as requested. Breakfast was great, as expected after our first stay. The staff was very friendly and flexible. Bathroom was clean. The room was larger than our previous booking at this hotel, at the same price.
Extremely comfortable and cozy property, with high end facilities! Prompt replies and support from a very helpful host, which ensured an excellent stay! Definitely will return here, as the perfect place to stay in Bistrita! Thanks!
Historical building. Great interior design. Spacious. Clean. Loft over bathroom with a small window to the hallway.
Bistrita has a beautiful downtown area and you have a lot of attractions in a very short distance.
