Felt honestly as if I was visiting the parents of a friend 😄 Isabel the caring, active and chatty mother and Fernando, the man of few words but a big heart and friendly smile 😁 Both people with such a big heart and friendliness. And although I didn’t speak any portugese (but a little bit of spanisch and french)Isabel and I were talking and laughing for hours. Great stories and also very educative about Portugal! :) Very relaxed and not at all intrusive. Just stay there, do what you like and be happy :)
The only things people who visit should know is: It is a very very rural area a little remote in the mountains. So perfect for a quiet stay and light hiking :) The next village with restaurants etc nearby is quickly reached by car maybe about 20 minutes. Oh and reception is not very strong out there, however they have excellent WLAN, so don’t worry :)

Our stay at Casa da escola was a fantastic surprise. We went in with no expectations and came out feeling completely relaxed and well treated. The facilities and rooms are all recent and well taken cared of, the scenery is out of a movie scene and the peaceful feeling was priceless. Not to mention the hosts that were truly exceptional and kind people. We can’t wait to go back to Casa da Escola.

Our recent stay at Casa Das Ameias was thoroughly enjoyable. Our hosts Celeste and Antonio and staff were beautiful, friendly and delighlfully kind people who went out of their way to make our stay incredible. The traditional breakfast provided each morning was absolutely delicious and was served in one of the most breathtaking rooms in this 16th Century transformed house. Everything about our stay was wonderful including our room which was magnificently decorated, incredibly clean and super comfortable. The pool was lovely with views of Vouzela and the surrounding mountains. Thankyou for making our stay so memorable and one of the most amazing and enjoyable holidays we have ever had. We hope to see you again on our future travels :)

The hotel has been tastefully refurbished and is full of art, books and cosy areas.

It was quite a surprise, the space was very comfortable and cosy.

It's near S. Pedro do Sul, so an excelente alternative to the hotels there.
The surroundings are also more beautiful than i was expecting, in special the small city Vouzela and the tracking of the Rios e Levadas in Oliveira de Frades.

So sympathetic place, and extremely friendly host! Adsamo village is a wonderful old village up in the mountains. Amazing view! If you are going to Zela Ultra marathon, this is the place for you! The route is nearby, and from the hotel is very easy to go to Vouzela also.
The simpathy of the hosts is contagious and the accomodation is of high quality, good value for money.
We had breakfast in a new hotel of the same owners - Casa das Ameias - and everything about it was perfect.

This is a well appointed boutique hotel in an architect designed renovated historical building in lovely surroundings. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean
Authentic features throughout the hotel. Beautiful breakfast room and nice choice. Also fresh sumo de laranja and local cakes with explanation from a cooking book. Great eye for detail and guests.
