The beds were not very comfortable. The amenities were not what I expected, and the beach (Playa Lucia) shown in the advertisement pictures was not a beach for swimming with posted no swimming signs. The price for the room alone was a bit high. However, upon arriving we learned they offer two- and three-night packages which includes three meals and that may have made it more reasonable. The views were not that great either and the area where it is located is a bit secluded and has some run-down properties and abandoned vehicles on the road. hotel staff was pleasant and hospitable.

I absolutely loved everything about this location. It was secluded and at the top of the mountain. We had our own pool with a gorgeous view of the mountains and ocean. We could also see the neighboring island. Tomas was wonderful and provided so much information. We didn't need a tour guide! He told us the best and closest beaches to go to and the best places to visit in San Juan. The room had everything we needed to cook our own meals to save on money. His property had beautiful trails we visited almost daily, exploring nature. Best of all, we got out own painting lesson. It was such a beautiful and relaxing trip, that we are already planning to come back soon. If you want to be in San Juan with the large crowds and be around tons of people constantly, this place would not be the best choice. If you want a relaxing and scenic place to stay, while being able to drive around the island, this is the place for you! Every night you could hear the animals and occasional rain and it would put me right to sleep. After getting home, it was oddly quiet without those beautiful nature sounds. It took us about 45 min to 1 hour to get into San Juan. There is a Walmart and nice shopping area within 15 minutes of this location. The driveway is a little intimidating at first, but I quickly got used to it. Overall, I would totally recommend this for any nature lover looking to enjoy a piece of paradise.
The area seemed out of its prime. Maybe 15-20 years ago was better. Mostly a weekend area as many restaurants open 3-4 days for the weekend. The El Faro Point Tuna lighthouse was nice visit but closed Tuesday so went back Wednesday. The area was open but any type of museum was not. Downtown Yabacoa area not very exciting. Town square area not as nice or historic as many PR towns. Beaches were basically unusable in the area. We won’t return here but nearby Naguabo Malecon is a nice seafood restaurant area.

Very good accommodation, quiet and very comfortable with a big bed. It is a pity that the surroundings of the hotel are not well kept, the beach would be very nice.
