Toruń is such a lovely city! Absolutely walkable, beautiful architecture, great athmosphere, a blend of history, culture, art, cuisine, you name it. I highly recommend all of the museums. I personally visited the Townhall museum (if you want to go to the tower, just get a combined ticket for the townhall as well, it is absolutelly worth it), the Gingerbread museum, the Fortress museum, Tony Halik's & the museum of art of the Far East in the House under the Star, and the House of Nicolas Copernicus.
I also loved just strolling through the streets and on the river bank, and at night I went to the bridge to see the citylights reflected in the river.
I think this is a great weekend spot for anyone - solo travellers, couples, families, seniors, just anyone. I highly recommend this Polish gem to everyone.

Torun is a city for people who like to enjoy the taste of decor, architecture and style, especially Gothic. It is small but atmospheric, the staff in restaurants, hotels etc. is very polite and helpful in everything. Fantastic city for 2-3 days.

A beautiful small town that retains that medieval feel. There are quite a few attractions and museums, but many are a bit overpriced for what little is inside them. The gingerbread is amazing, the many choices of restaurants is welcome, and everything is within a very short walking distance. There is quite a bit of live music too, from jazz to punk, that can be found in the many small bars and venues in the town. Toruń is definitely a great place to stop for a night or two.

I visit Torun regularly as I have family there. It's a gorgeous old town but quite small. Many different museums etc and the planetarium is a must. A very wide selection of restaurants and other food related outlets. People very helpful. River promenade is usually gorgeous but there was some major work going on in July when I visited last and that hadn't been completed this visit ( Nov) so the river view wasn't as spectacular as in the past. In July, I chose a hotel with a river view which was actually a waste of money as the view was spoiled by the work. This time I went for a more central hotel and had a view of the stunning top of the gingerbread museum. The architecture in Torun is spectacular. One of my favourite places which I would still visit even if I didn't have family nearby. Be aware that as Torun is old, many of the traditional hotels don't have lifts! Not easy to carry a large or heavy suitcase upstairs in some hotels!! Excellent public transport links to other towns and a huge out of town shopping complex at Rubinkowo. Driving is usually straightforward as the city is well signposted but the promenade works have caused some road closures.

Absolutely charming little town.
Absolutely charming little town. We were inspired to visit it after reading Schatten der Welt, which took place there. Super clean, friendly, amazing restaurants everywhere. Huge pedestrian zones. Beautifully restored. Puts Berlin to shame.

Torun has plenty of interesting architecture and history to explore. Also, lots of great restaurants and pastry/coffee shops. It's small enough to get in and out of quickly. Also, not taken over by tourists yet. The locals' festivals and traditional celebrations are easy to join and enjoy.
excellent location for sightseeing, old building near the main square (3 minutes walk). But "something for something" - narrow stairs and no elevator. Breakfast very good.
But the best of all was the service - especially the receptionist.
Remember to reserve a parking space in advance - directly at the hotel reception is probably the best way.
You can also look for places along the streets (paid for about PLN 80 per day, just like in the hotel), but even you find something, it will certainly not be by the hotel.
Big apartment (50-60m2), it has everything you need, the apartment and furniture is very classy (very good job for choice) and new, it looks much better then in pictures. I would recommend it to everyone. There is a parking space in front of the apartment which you can use to unpack your things and then you need to move your car to underground parking which is in the next street. It is definitely cleanest apartment among many that we visited in Poland
Hotel is in renovation phase, so quality varies between renovated and not renovated. Wifi signal was poor at 4th floor and they changed our room. New room was good and spacious, interiors were quite modern and well thought of. Beds were comfortable, TV was great. Bathroom clean and spacious. Breakfast was limited, but tasty and enough. Staff were great. Location near to Torun Miasto train station, Tram and Bus stop. Old town is 300 m away.
Third stay here, and it's definitely my first choice when I have to be in Torun - right down to having a welcome beer in the fridge, this place is simply great. Always I'm here for work, and at Olbracht the room affords plenty of desk space, quietness and a good internet connection to help this - these sound like obvious things, but so many hotels feature tiny work spaces and distant noises. Ten out of ten.
The old but so new at the same time (zero scratches) furniture made the room look cozy and beautiful. I really enjoyed it. Same with the decoration in the hotel alleys.
The location is 100% perfect in the center of Torun and there are nice restaurants and jazz bars within 5min walking distance or less.
Exceptionally friendly service with the chef taking a lead. My wife was pleased having her special request fulfilled during the breakfast. Food was very tasty. Furniture and decorations are classy and suit this place well. As a tourist, I admired convenient location of the hotel.

Beautiful medieval hotel in a great location. My suite was huge and had a gorgeous painted ceiling that was a delight to wake up to. Welcoming 24 hr staff in lobby and a reserved parking space in front of the hotel.
Location is perfect, the hotel looks aesthetically pleasing, breakfast is awesome. There were absolutely no downsides of this hotel. We enjoyed our stay all the way through :)
