The downtown area has many nice parks to enjoy and benches for relaxing. Many small shops and banks with ATM's for all your needs. Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. are all within an easy 5 minute drive or less. Great food at the market square at fresh fruit/vegetable stands, many small shops with interesting items for sale and all easy walking as it is flat terrain.

The town is quite nice with small outdoor market stalls that sold fruits, vegetables, clothing, etc. I found at least 3 banks within a few walking steps of each other. Santander had the best rate using a debit card. The grocery stores are nice and had almost everything I needed. In Poland it is difficult to find motor oil somewhere besides a gas station. The prices at the grocery stores and drug store [Rossmann] are very good.

Ciechocinek is a lovely town for generally older people to walk around, with extensive and quiet parks and streets. Also has some good boutique shops too. There are a number of restaurants offering good food at a fair price, often attached to hotels or "pensions". Town is easy to walk around although there are a number of guided tour "carts" that can be hired. Probably not much for younger children to occupy them, though.

City of Cichocinek is best known for their health Spas and Saline graduation towers. If you're interested in other things than that worth staying in Torun city and visit Ciechcinek which is about 20 minutes drive from Torun.
We had a very pleasant 2-day stay in TeoDorka Hotel & Spa. The place is modern and well-appointed. It is located a bit off the town of Ciechocinek, a fair distance for daily walks or biking. We got spacious room with terrace access. Breakfast, part of the room price, was very tasty and rich, containing number of hot dishes and vast selection of other specialties, topped with a good coffee. We used various of spa treatments available on-site. We certainly recommend TeoDorka Hotel & Spa
Hotel location is ~1km from the centre of Ciechocinek so it requires a walk to the centre, but this is not a concern. Hotel has quite large grounds and the room faced over the car park towards open countryside, with a good view, and quiet over night (but see below). Breakfast was extensive with a good choice of food, and additionally had rolled pancakes with cottage cheese, a welcome addition not always found in Polish hotels.
Hotel is located at the end of a large park, a 20min walk away from the centre of Ciechocinek, This meant it was very quiet. Deluxe double room provided with large space, a good sized bathroom and a separate balcony area (even though on ground floor). Good facilities throughout hotel. Very good breakfast buffet - extensive choice in a large restaurant. SPa facilities available for guests (but not used by us this time).
The location was very quiet but in very short distance to the motorway which was very useful for our onward journey the following day.
Excellent breakfast, served with a smile :).
One of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in.
We went for a stroll after arriving and when we got back, the host offered us tea and biscuits to warm us up - brought it to our room, gratis.
Clean, comfortable... the food is excellent both breakfast and dinner... staff exceptional...
Beds were wonderfully comfortable... room size perfect
It felt like every need was already thought of and planned for... this is perhaps the best experience ever at a hotel in Poland.
Perfect location near the beautiful park. Warm and cozy swimming pool. Excellent spa section with saunas and a quiet relaxation spots. Great food. Very comfy beds and great design of the rooms.
It has been my second stay in this hotel and it is my most favorite spa in Poland.
The staff at Lila Medical SPA are notably friendly and professional.
The restaurant offers delightful cuisine that is a treat for the taste buds.
The massage services are top-notch.
A 13:00 checkout is a unique and welcome feature, rarely seen elsewhere.
Warm and clean rooms.
Nice private parking.
Room service/cleaning is not aggressive and you can be sure nobody will disturb you during your stay. You can ask if cleaning is needed or if recycle bin is full and hotel staff will take care of it.
Very comfortable family accommodation, clean, well taken care of, plenty of green space around, playground in front of the cottage for kids to play. You can cook your own meals, small well stocked shop just around the corner.
Room was a great size. Power sockets in all the right places. Breakfast was good. Hotel was quite modern and good looking. All the employees were nice and friendly. Can’t fault that.
Beautiful hotel with lots to do, beautiful room with a nice balcony! Great food, nice bar, great location next to a park that has lots of activities. Great stay!
